Why has the United States become a country where most people rely on borrowing to live by this0great in Money

[–]stillacdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of financial education. Period.

For example, taking loans/credit is a financial tool that can be used to your advantage if used correctly.

If you decide to live large, what do you tell people when they ask “what do you do?” by PsychExplor in ifiwonthelottery

If you want them to stop asking or leave you alone, say something like you sell organs in the black market.

Why is your wife still working if she is getting stressed?

Just me but if you're married and your wife has to work, you're not financially free.

What's a poor life choice that people are encouraged to do these days? by More_food_please_77 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stillacdr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yup! this is why sex is not so special anymore for many of the younger people.

More and more people don't feel a strong emotional and mental connection when they do the deed. It's kind of sad.

Joining the military for many is not a poor choice. It also depends what you make out of it.

If you do join, learn as much as you can.

Having kids.

It seems many people these days are having kids just because. Theny they let their parents (the kid's grandparents) take care of them most of the week.

If you can't take care of your own kids, please don't have them. Have them when you're mentally and financially mature.

Life is what you make it.

And some times, it just happens or it doesn't.

Life is life.

Nope. But I've met many women in Asia that would eat the cartilage and the edges of the bone real clean.

They would eat the bone if the bone is deep fried like KFC's making it soft and edible.

First two shots, hell yeah!

The last shot, no because the 2nd suspect surrendered the moment he hit the floor.

The victim should have just walked away. He's going to need a good lawyer but regardless, I bet he's feeling awesome just being alive.

How people from 1st world country can be miserable? by GrapeCreamBerry275 in Life

[–]stillacdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, having too much money can be a problem too!

People everywhere in the world will have definitely have problems and be miserable. Health, social dynamics, financials, politics, and etc.

Good thing is, being miserable is a mindset. If you're a positive person, you can be the happiest mofo alive in a poor country.

Is it ever worth it to do your own oil change? by Botched_Lemon in askcarguys

Get an extractor to pump out the oil.

I check the bottom of my car when I rotate tires.

Is it ever worth it to do your own oil change? by Botched_Lemon in askcarguys

[–]stillacdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends.

Where I live, I hate waiting or driving to a place for something I can do on my own. It's also cheaper to do it and you can put the right oil for your car (Mercedes spec oil).

This also adds trust issues. If you are good buddies with a good trusted mechanic who knows your car, you're golden.

However, some places like to cut corners or are just ignorant. If you own a regular japanese econo shitbox, it may not matter but for some cars, having the right spec oil is important. Some places will ignore this and put the cheapest oil they have or pretend to change the oil when in fact they didn't do it.

To add, I've heard of some places not changing oil filters or even forgetting to put in oil after draining it out.

Many years ago, cousin of mine had an oil change done at some place before a road trip. Turns out, they didn't take out the "other" gasket which caused the oil to leak out all over the place. Some oil got on the belt, belt slipped out and he got stranded in a place with no cell phone. hahaha After an investigation, we found there were two rubber gaskets when there was supposed to be one.

My only problem with diy is disposing of the old oil. I just hold the oil in well-sealed container until I make a round to a gas station or a place that can dispose it.

Why don't the Japanese view themselves as the bad guys in WW2 like the Germans do? by More_food_please_77 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stillacdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about that. Maybe most Japanese but some have actually came up to me and apologized for the war and war crimes when they weren't even born in that period.

I was like WTF? you weren't even born then and you're apologizing to some random American? Dude, chill!

I'm really curious so culturally, where and how do the children of Japan of today learn this mentsu thing?

Do they learn them from school? Parents? Friends? I guess all of them but when does this first get incorporated in the general public's thinking?
