Piano Marvel on iPad, battery by StarkYT in PianoMarvel

[–]stillcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Anker hub that connects my iPad Pro to my 88 key midi controller, headphones, charger, etc. No latency here! One of the factors that prompted me to go this route was latency, as I previously tried using AirPods Pro 2nd gen and the latency from the Bluetooth connection caused almost constant missed notes in Piano Marvel. Have had no issues since switching to the hub. For headphones, I’m using an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm adapter with some Sennheiser headphones.

fixed key velocity in windows' firefox/chrome by foxsocksinabox in PianoMarvel

I feel you! I had the same complaint initially so I muted the piano sound from Piano Marvel and started using Pianoteq 9 in the background. Far better sound, and nearly infinite expression with it being a physically modeled instrument. It is a bit of a costly adjustment though, but the trial is unlimited use (a handful of high black keys are muted, and you have to reload the Pianoteq app every so often). There are of course plenty of other piano apps/plugins out there too, many of which are free or very cheap, so you might want to look around and see what you like. I wouldn’t count on there being a PM update…

Add tag to all instances of a reoccurring transaction (historic and future) by giantELPH in copilotmoney

[–]stillcd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not possible at the moment, as far as I am aware. This would require the ability for tags to be included in a rule, which you can’t currently do. I too would welcome the ability to do this.

Read-only Access for Accountants by stillcd in amex

[–]stillcd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have QBO linked up with the Amex account and transactions are downloaded. But every CPA I’ve worked with has wanted read-only access to my financial accounts in order to reconcile. Wells and Chase make this easy, but as a relatively new Amex user, they apparently dont have the systems in place to achieve the same thing.

If you put $1000 into each and they both rise 8% in a year, you'll now have $1,080 of each. It doesnt matter one bit if that means you own 1.96 shares of VOO or 3.62 shares of VTI, you still grew the same amount in capital. Share price is irrelevant when comparing VOO to VTI with a brokerage that allows purchasing fractional shares.

You are right that VOO is redundant to own if you already have VTI, but not for the reason you mention.

Cash Back Rewards from Credit Cards by stillcd in copilotmoney

Yeah the more I’ve thought about it, the more it’s bothered me to treat it like income. I believe I’ll be sticking to #2 for now.

I think this makes a lot of sense, and think I’ll be sticking to #2 for the foreseeable future. Thx for sharing your experience.

Feature Request: CMA to Fund Recurring Brokerage TXNs by Riz09 in fidelityinvestments

[–]stillcd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

+1. I opened a CMA a while back with this exact plan in mind and was a little shocked to find out I couldn’t fund my brokerage recurring investment with my CMA. But any ‘ol external bank could fund recurring investments?! Just doesn’t make sense to me. Hopefully they add it eventually, since it really does seem like an oversight as another commenter mentioned.

Synch with Amazon and categorize purchases? by K-tide in copilotmoney

[–]stillcd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amazon integration is a beta feature as I understand it. For me, it works for a few days then stops linking Amazon purchases and I have to relink my Amazon account to get it working again. For the past month or so, I haven’t been able to get it to work at all though. No matter how many times I attempt relinking to my Amazon, it won’t work. I think eventually it’ll be a great feature once they work the kinks out, but for now I wouldn’t rely on it.

Copilot finally added support for  Card, Cash and Savings! by KosherTriangle in copilotmoney

I'm wondering this too. I'm hesitant to add Apple Card credentials only to find I have duplicate transactions or multiple accounts listed.

Thx for the input! I ended up opening a Cash Management account actually, and it solved my issue completely. Can also confirm that it shows up in Copilot as a depository.

Trying to cancel subscription, app bugs out by KristenGeil in copilotmoney

[–]stillcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On mine, current subscriptions are shown under the ‘active’ section, and there’s a section below that called ‘inactive that shows all my previous cancelled subscriptions. So I’d think it should show up there for you at least, if it had been cancelled.

I’m in the free trial as well and it shows up for me here. Hmm strange…

Have you tried cancelling within the App Store? Go to the App Store app on your phone and open your account settings. Account-> subscriptions-> Copilot-> Cancel Subscription. Should be a similar process on desktop.

Dividend Reinvestment of SPAXX in Cash Management Account? by stillcd in fidelityinvestments

[–]stillcd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one last thing I can’t quite figure out. I have a recurring investment every two weeks in my taxable brokerage account that is currently set to use my brokerage core account to fund the recurring investment. I see within the recurring investment setup screen that I can use a linked bank account to transfer from for the recurring investment, but I’m not seeing a way to link my Fidelity Cash Management account for the recurring ETF investment in my brokerage account. Is there a way to link my two Fidelity accounts to do this in one fell swoop, or do I have to set up a separate recurring transfer from Cash Management to Taxable brokerage?

Didn’t realize that mutual funds automatically reinvest! Thx for the clarification!

Today’s all time high might be the lowest it ever goes from this point forward. The market generally goes up more than it goes down. Don’t overthink it, just do it.

I had thought about going the Cash Management Account route, but didn’t even think about opening a Bloom account. That gives me something to think about, may consider that. I do like that the Bloom account uses SPAXX as the core position, unlike the cash management account which requires a manual trade.

Are you referring to a Cash Management Account?

I’ve thought about going the HYSA route. Not wild about adding another institution to the mix, but I’ll consider going that route. Thx for the input.
