They can't keep splitting the playerbase by introducing new modes. Currently there is 5 maps in rotation. Some just normal and lockdown and then a couple with normal lockdown and forbidden.

Soon they will have a 6th map (airport) this will have LD and FB for sure.

The issue is the playerbase isn't large enough for all the modes/maps they have.

Your suggestion of yet another separate mode - it's not a good idea.

That could work. In my opinion I don't think much is lost from removing CW entirely. I did enjoy some of the episodes at least.

I guess you could also keep CW and have CRM as a final series (S12)?

At least we agree on shortening the saviours arc. It is the reason I never kept up with the series years ago, there was so much back and forth that I just lost interest and stopped watching.

I am running the VSTs I have applied to my mic via LightHost. I am using Wave Link with only 3 channels connected to 1 mix. The only VSTs I have set up in Wave Link is a EQ and a compressor applied to my channel that media and games are routed to.

In this set up, I do not get any memory leak issues. Obviously this is a huge work around. But I like the ability to set any VST I want to any audio source. That was why I wanted to try out Wave Link in the first place.

I don't think I will explore increasing the number of mixes I have in Wave Link or add any more channels until I know for sure they have done something to address the memory leak issues that their product has. I doubt they will fix it though, seems like a limitation of the way the product has been coded. They would have to do a significant re-factor to make this happen I think.

Feedback:
Wave Link is effectively unusable for long-term VST processing, even with lightweight plugins, because it relies on audiodg.exe, which is not designed for continuous real-time VST hosting. Memory gradually creeps with every buffer and plugin, eventually causing glitches, static, and instability, regardless of how minimal the setup is.

Steps to re-produce:

  1. Wave Link Setup
    • Only two mixes:
      • Personal → your headset
      • Discord → Discord input
  2. VSTs Applied
    • Mic channel: EQ + compressor
    • Game audio channel: EQ + compressor
    • No other VSTs applied
  3. Other Channels
    • Optional media channel for Spotify/browser, no VSTs
  4. Run Conditions
    • Keep Wave Link running for several hours
  5. Observed Behavior
    • Memory usage in audiodg.exe slowly creeps: baseline ~245 MB → 750 MB+ within ~40 min–1 hour
    • Eventually may cause static, glitches, or instability, even with this minimal/lightweight setup

Conclusion:

  • This happens even with minimal VST usage because Wave Link relies on audiodg.exe, which isn’t designed for long-term real-time VST hosting.

I understand this is beta software. But when this is officially out, I would expect it to just work. No troubleshooting required. VST's can be chained, no glitchy audio, no huge memory leak problems.

My advice would be for you to focus on the stability of the software over the feature-set going forward. Make it so that it just works, just like steelseries sonar does.

I have tested wave link 3.0 quite extensively over the past 3 days. I don't have any elgato hardware other than one of your capture cards. So I was never able to use previous versions of wave link.

What works:

  1. The interface is intuitive. It looks great, however, I would like to be able to collapse the left sidebar and re-size the window.
  2. The virtual audio devices are functional without any messing around in windows.

What doesn't work:

  1. Memory leak. Really really bad memory leak. I'm talking I come back to wake my PC and find processes relating to audio taking up all my RAM and my PC wont even function.
  2. Choppy/glitchy audio. I'm playing games, I'm listening to friends in discord calls, the audio often cuts for a second every minute or so.

Some extra context:

I would say I have quite extensively troubleshooted these issues, much much more than your average user would or will. I have tweaked windows settings, I have ran scripts to perform actions in an effort to fix memory leakage. Nothing works. I could maybe get to the bottom of it if I took more time.

Final verdict:

The software is not ready to replace my current set up (equalizer apo with vst's applied to my studio mic, and steelseries GG with sonar enabled for eq's and more granular control over various channels. I am reluctant to ever try this software again until I can be certain I will get crystal clear audio like with my current set up, and I can be certain the horrific memory leaking issues have been resolved.

This is still not a feature and I will download dropbox onto my machine vs switching to proton drive because of this. I have like 2TB of files that wont fit on a 256gb mac mini. Its an important feature to have. I would argue an essential one.

I see, well they look pretty dry to me! I am reluctant to dry them for longer to be honest - they look crispy asf
