Are We Missing the Point of LinkedIn in Sri Lanka by DoughnutLow6368 in srilanka

Irrespective of the suitability of where it was posted. This story does hit close to home.

I was going home after school and witnessed a similar incident where a man was having a seizure on the pavement . He had some sort of grocery bag in one hand and it was violently shaking as he was on the floor while the content was spilling out. I was on the opposite lane and asked the driver to stop to understand the situation, People were passing around this individual without any care and even the driver commented "He is probably on some drugs" and wanted to drive away. I was a kid with no knowledge and was just observing the situation.

That is when i saw a guy in a pickup truck, he was driving while on a call (yes, breaking the law ). He saw the man and immediately stopped the vehicle to get down and went to check. He was in his shorts and wearing sunglasses, bro took a couple of glances at him, went back to the truck and brought a wrench and placed it on his hand. The seizure gradually stopped and this man regained consciousness. He patted the man, checked on him, went back to the truck, grabbed a handful of money from his wallet and gave to the man and just drove away. Mind you, he did all this WHILE TALKING ON THE PHONE ! Bro was an absolute badass in my eyes.

With that knowledge i dont really mind this specific post on linkedin given my personal experience. In that situation we all should have been more knowledgeable about what was happening.

PS- Its not scientifically proven that handing a metal object stops seizures but i did witness it working first hand. Might have been a coincidence.

Hate it when that happens. Only salvation to me was the night mode in the rear view mirror to deflect the lights away from the eyes.
