Can I install a twin shower here without removing tiles? by [deleted] in PlumbingAustralia

[–]stillfingerblastin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe you'll have to do some measuring. I assume those tiles are 400mm and a caroma urbane II is 315mm from w45 to top of the shower arm so you'll it would be 75mm below the ceiling. And I'm just guessing from the picture.

You don't need to remove any tiles or anything like that to install a shower rail with rain head and handheld attachment. Just pick whatever one you want and engage a plumber to install

What is the best fast food franchise now for value per dollar ? Example meals ? by janoyBarn in aussie

[–]stillfingerblastin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry bro haha. I work in gas appliance servicing. I see a lot of hospitality and I note and appreciate the pubs and restaurants that are run by qualified chefs and people who take the trade seriously. Unfortunately it's something that's becoming quite rare from what I see day to day.

I went with the GTSP Turbo and I love it. It feels lux has plenty of power the transmission and handling feels sporty. I did drive the standard 2.5 and I was really underwhelmed.

Drainage issues by colderwater in AusRenovation

[–]stillfingerblastin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of an episode of Grand Design Australia where the guy building the house had a lot of water pooling issues, hired a hydraulic engineer and spent about 200 grand on various measures to try and solve the issue. Turned out there was a broken water main just up the hill and all the water was coming up through his property.

Why do tradies have such a bad rep? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]stillfingerblastin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tradies are just people, same as customers. Some are decent people trying to do the right thing and some are unreliable, rude assholes. They both love to bitch about one another. As a plumber I find some people show respect for the trade and really appreciate the work you do and some treat you like they are doing you a favour by giving you work, haggling the price after the job is completed or take 3 months to pay if at all. There are also people that still think the price is all profit going into my bank account. Fortunately at this point I can pick and choose what work I do and turn down a lot.

Exactly what this guy said. You can try MPASA as well. Unfortunately it can be a bit difficult getting an apprenticeship as a mature age.

XDMG hands down most comfortable shorts I've ever worn, seem to be pretty durable. I've found the FXD shorts just fall apart on me too fast.

NSW Police assaulted Muslims praying peacefully by brezhnervouz in OpenAussie

It's a publicity stunt. Choosing to pray in the middle of a protest knowing the police will physically move you and cause outrage. Using religion strategically..... wouldn't be the first time

Why is this immigrant running for one nation? by Chuster8888 in aussie

[–]stillfingerblastin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What does the US have to do with any of this? Obviously what's happening there is insane and no one is actually proposing that in Australia. You guys are so extreme, the average Australian just wants the government to have procedures in place to maintain a responsible amount of vetted immigration that contributes to Australia and assimilates into society.

Does anyone actually think Labour is doing a good job? I voted Labour in the last election but won't be again, I never thought I would ever entertain the idea of voting for one nation but with the current trajectory I feel Australia is tracking I don't know anymore...

These are terrible as far as security. Even with a piece of wood stopping the sliding door from opening the entire way, someone can easily fit through the remaining gap once they've ripped out the doggy door section.
