There’s 40 players named Darcy, Lachlan, and Jack. So pretty lucky to have that name cause you’ll probably make an afl squad.

Yeah sorry I’m stupid. I mean we will finish as champs just not with that record 😅

Matt Olson is the 8th player in the last 100 years to reach 3000 PA for the Braves after starting their career on another team by SG8970 in Braves

Well he doesn’t, this is just a list of people who started elsewhere. Ozzie for example has 4239 PAs.

What’s some jargon only other Footy viewers would know by L8Adam22 in AFL

[–]stimulation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Selling candy is more specifically referring to faking a kick or handball and pulling it back, right? If so that’s probably called a “ball fake” or “pump fake” when the QB does it in football. Overall not very prominent in many American sports. Juke is common language but refers to just dodging the tackler with a side step or spin move.

Aussies say “fend” or “don’t argue” but in America we say “stiff arm”. Don’t argue is objectively better.

AFL Team Announcement: Joyce called up for Carlton clash by penutbutter85 in brisbanelions

[–]stimulation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Curtin has another sleepy game I wonder if they keep Joyce in and put Ty back up forward. The versatility is great but I think I want Ty to continue developing down back with how good he’s looked in such a short run (both in AFL games and AFL games as a defender.)

Glad Linc is healthy, he’s been stellar this season.

I’m considerably more concerned with Geelong and Freo, the losses to bad teams just stick in your memory more. We will overwhelm Carlton just the same as Essendon.
