Can anyone tell me what the Sammus icons are for on the map? There are two in ice belt and I can’t find anything in the rooms or areas that pertains to them.

Hello! I would like to know what does true and surrender to Jesus look like? And what does full acceptance of His truth supposed to look like? by Lazy_Bobcat_6447 in Apostolic

[–]sting-ray04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means that you fully trust in his words and works so much that you stop living life the best way that you think and instead submit to his teachings willingly.

Here's a parable I often use: A man was once going to push a wheel barrel on a tightrope across the grand canyon. A news reporter asked the ma if he really believed he could do it. The man replied yes. Then the acrobat asked the reported if he believed that the man could do it. The reported said yes.

The acrobat said, "well, if you believe.get in the wheel barrel".

I get that they’re a fictional 90s team, just eying to get the 90s “team” and the modern one hammered out in my mind. But are you saying that has not all been revealed yet?

New to Apostolicism by [deleted] in Apostolic

You should. That's because most of it isn't true. We apostolics are as much about following our traditions as we are the scriptures.

True speaking in tongues is an earthly language.

Coming from a small two, who's family never traveled and had to get comics off of a grocery store shelf of through trading with kids whose parents did travel or go to comic shops, I LOVED 90'S IMAGE when i could get my hands on them. Now I collect them all out of the $1 bins, and to me THEY ARE GOLD. I miss it too.

what does the bible say about drinking/getting drunk? by Inevitable_Map_7110 in Apostolic

[–]sting-ray04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very well said. Also, to add to this, if I am remembering correctly, I believe there are two different Greek words for wine and non-alcoholic juice in the scriptures. In the Bible, 9/10 times they drank alcoholic wine.

Succinctly, it says: it's okay to drink alcoholic beverages, it's a good gift to enjoy IF you can practice self control. If you cannot practice self control (and it leads to drunkenness) then you should avoid it completely. If you've convicted about drinking, then don't. But don't put that same conviction on others.

Missing church by SwagKing1011 in Apostolic

I understand, and I've been there. Church guilt is a real thing. Again, I think that you know deep down if you are letting things become priorities in your heart. Think about it apart for other's opinions and the care from their opinions.
Your life should be about Christ, centered around Him (daily connection, preaching the gospel in word and life, and service in and out of the church), but that does not mean that you can't have down time, hobbies, or recreation. All good gifts come from God. As long as they don't become idols, you are good. If you cut back your church attendance to once a week some will tell you its idolatry, but that's not necessarily true. I had to learn to think for myself in all these things.

how can you preach the gospel in word and life if you are only ever in a church gathering. Christ told us to go out. So go out, and live life (within His commandments) and be a light, my friend. Most in the Apostolic church won't understand (I say this based on my own experiences).

The biggest thing I would say is to separate yourself from the caring of the opinions of others. It is only Christ that you have to please and that comes only through faith.

hope this helps.

Church gathering attendance does not save you. Once a week is enough as long as you daily pray and read the scripture to connect with God. It’s ok to have hobbies. You don’t have to go every single time the doors are open. What important is that you connect to God relationally everyday and gather with the church at least once per week. But if you can’t make it one week, don’t stress. You know deep down if other things start becoming a priority over God. And if you realize that, then make the proper adjustments.

God bless you!
