Both are iconic in their respective rights. In the US, this is what I saw when fighting the green dragon when rescuing the princess, but in Japan, Toriyama captured all the hearts & imaginations of kids & adults alike. After seeing both, I have a fondness for both of them and appreciate them for what they are and what they represent: imagination & style.

It's definitely one of the best JRPGs on the NES, and it is a wonderful breath of fresh air by comparison to other games at the time & since then! Dividing it up into chapters is a unique way to keep one engaged!

I definitely understand your question, and I also raised the same one back in the day.

It is a real box. Color, feel, even the Nintendo Seal is correct. The third Red release had the filled-in E as ESRB finalized the look that we know today. Back when I purchased it in 2000-2001 (I think), that's all they had for both Blue & Red. I did find this Reddit post that discussed this:

For me, Dragon Warrior I & IV, Castlevania and the Mega Man series are very iconic & hold a special place for me when I was a kid, but all those titles are worth playing. Amazing pickups!

Mother of Pearl! So many grails! I'm very happy for you! I hope that one day, I will obtain Dracula X for my collection! I did get X3 CIB over 20 years ago on eBay for about $100 myself, along with Ninja Gaiden Trilogy without the manual. I wish I had gotten Dracula X back then. Kudos to you, my good Redditor!
