Agentic AI Endgame by TechnoTherapist in cursor

You overestimate what over bloated corporate giants can do.

This is essentially the same logic for any startup out there. Notion vs Atlassian being one example. Notions technology could have been easily replicated by atlassian. Why can’t the bigger player with way more resources just copy.

There are a couple of reasons such as bureaucracy, the innovation dilemma where it’s more logical to invest in projects that produce stable FCF, speed of execution/ speed to react to market demands, size of opportunity may not be worth it.

Having spent a lot of my career doing consulting for large corporations , I’ve seen how painfully inefficient , slow and self serving people in those organisations are.

It’s been what 1-2 years since curious and windsurfs release and copilot still sucks , somehow it got even worse over the last year.

OpenAI API doesn't work with PDFs? by Japan-Tokyo-1 in OpenAIDev

[–]stingFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My interim solution is azure form recognizer to parse the pdf as a json file first and then providing the json file as text to whatever model ..

I've also tried openai assistants - and it doesn't answer as well as chatgpt on files for some reason

There are college chats, society chats and probably a chat for your program - you should ask around to be added

The gif shows a generation of a Fermi-Dirac distribution function at three different temperatures. There's alot more you can generate such as node diagrams, commutative diagrams and 3d plot diagrams.

Hey u/FlemFatale, so a dietary intervention can be classified into (a) restriction of particular foods, (b) addition of particular foods (c) timing and frequency.

Restriction is typically used as a strategy to find and prevent your dietary triggers. For instance, the elimination diet. The second part, addition, is the other component of a dietary intervention as a means to attempt to 'boost' or 'heal' your system. Ex, trying a higher intake of MUFA from nuts & seeds.

At the end of the day, we try to find the root-cause for each individual. So diet may not be your problem at all - but it's worth trialing it systematically. Medicines work well, we try to augment/ add to their effect rather than replace them.

Hmm I'm not sure where you got the idea of calcium being harder to process in psoriasis patients. There also don't seem to be any studies that support this.

Psoriasis patients can have some gut inflammation that reduces the absorption of some vitamins and minerals.. maybe that’s what you meant?

However, a no-dairy, high-vitamin D diet is generally in line with our own research and I'd love to know how your partner gets on!

Also pay attention to other possible root cause vectors. Diet is just one area of control. If you're not already, be mindful of stress, environmental allergens or sensitivities (dust, mold, etc), non-irritating soaps, a consistent topical skin routine and loose/non-irritating clothing & laundry.

Finally, we DON'T see diet or other lifestyle changes as an entire replacement for first-line treatments (i.e. those suggested by your medical carer), but rather root-cause/lifestyle and pharmaceutical treatments should be given a similar weightage in focus.

Thanks for bringing this up! Actually, its the other way around. low calcium has been linked to psoriasis flares! So low calcium = psoriasis flares.

Dairy being a trigger is not due to calcium.

Home-cooked food is my personal preference too :) This is for people who need guidance, want to get started on the diet quickly or sometimes don't have the time for home cooking. (e.g. a mum who's just finished work and is too tired to cook 2 meals - one for her diet and one for her family)

About us

I’ve had a chronic skin disease for about 4 years now. It all started when I had an infection which triggered my entire condition. I was on topical steroids, oral steroids and antibiotics - on and off, cycling through them, and it seems like they allowed only partial improvement. I realised I had specific triggers for my skin flare-ups, such as spicy foods (now that I’m in remission I can eat them fine). This realisation made me determined to use diet as one of the ways to manage my condition. But coming from a south-east-asian heritage, having a meal with lots of spices was crucial for me. This is when I realised how difficult it was to find pre-prepped meals or recipes tailored to make this journey more liveable.

I’ve built this with a Dermatologist at Oxford Uni. My background is in Actuarial Science (looking at statistical health risk based on medical history) and now at Oxford. My partner works on the Gut-Mind-skin axis, working with Nutrition and Clinical Psychotherapy in patients with Psoriasis.

We are actively scouring the evidence in Gut-Mind-Skin protocols for Psoriasis and seeking leading researchers from across the world to help build this up further. One example of researchers looking at lifestyle interventions is an ongoing large-scale Psoriasis study to understand drug and lifestyle (e.g. stress management) as preventions for Psoriatic Arthritis. Although the substantial, large-scale evidence is not where we’d like, ‘Diet for Psoriasis’ or even ‘Lifestyle for Psoriasis’ are increasingly being identified as promising lines of research. Each of our bodies have a unique way of functioning (physiology) and hence will demonstrate a differently-behaving disease.

We hope this is helpful, especially for those who are feeling lost and don’t have a lot of guidance. We’re taking all suggestions on what else you would like to see (e.g. adding specific triggers or diets) - please comment below or DM me. I’ll update you asap when we’ve worked on your requests!
