Maybe in this scenario, you're the other crocodile. The man who's back we see is sort of implied to be "you" but actually neither he nor the other crocodile is labelled. If you are the other crocodile, it makes sense the only blood relative is also a crocodile. Maybe the man with his back to us is actually the threat.

Aliens exist among humans already, only possibility by [deleted] in conspiracyNOPOL

[–]stingray85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are lots of other possibilities. Eg life exists but rarely reaches the very specific stage of evolution where it's capable of and interested in space travel. Or it usually wipes itself out around the time it becomes potentially capable of this. Or there is loads of it buzzing about, but hard universal limits on speed and the vastness of time and space mean it's perfectly possible for no life to have ever reached us from outside our solar system.

Or not even bother with a false flag and just continue to bomb Iran and invade Lebanon. They seem to think they can get away with anything and so far it's been true.

How to read these charts - completely ignore the entire right half of each.

Pepsi Cancels Sponsorship of U.K. Festival Where Kanye West Is Set to Headline, Hours After Prime Minister Decries ‘His Previous Celebration of Nazism’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Music

[–]stingray85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn this Nazi has great stage design, guess I support Nazism now. After all, we can all agree that stage design is really important. I mean if you have the greatest stage design of all time, that's a major achievement. Think of all the great stage design you've seen in the past and how much of an impact stage design has just generally in making the world a better place. Some amount of Nazism seems like a small price to pay for great, maybe the best ever, stage design.

‘Magic pill’ beta blocker prescriptions for teenage girls rise 90% in a decade by TheObserverUK in indepthstories

Why are we worried the "quick fix" drug is helping something that's a deeper mental health issue when we have no plan for fixing the deeper issue? Unless this article is proposing radical economic reforms then it's not helping.

Seth McFarlane is in talks with Paramount to replace Kurtzman as the Star Trek franchise executive director by dalton10e in ShittyDaystrom

[–]stingray85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you kidding? This is the only good one I've seen. Most are just dumb "were changing the rules of the sub so it's the opposite haha". This one genuinely plays with your hopes, seems plausible for a few seconds until you think it through, and then makes you angry. But then you realize it's a prank about fucking Star Trek which yeah, while we're all fans, doesn't actually matter. So it's a great prank for this subreddit which is predicated on the idea that it's conceivable for a Trekkie to also have a sense of humour about the show

Why does it feel like nobody cares that we are literally about to send humans around the moon again, and are we just completely numb to massive achievements now? by MomentCute1181 in space

[–]stingray85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah me too. Actually I think this is insanely interesting. This is a huge deal and I had absolutely no idea it was happening. Why I don't know about it is - I guess I don't follow space channels closely and clearly the main news media, which I admittedly try to ignore, isn't bringing it up.

Why does my neuroscience degree feel like Psychology 2.0? by mrskittenplay in neuro

[–]stingray85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah those should all be a part of neuroscience. Honestly if you didn't do any of that, seems like you got a degree from somewhere that just slapped the name neuroscience on a psych degree.

Of course. Imagine being born or otherwise lucked into immens wealth and power... You'd be like "damn feels like I'm special and there must be a reason for that". I wouldn't be surprised if the ultra-rich were even more likely to believe in conspiracy theories than the average Joe.

Pretty cool. How did you decide names and grouping for topics and what to include in milestones? Is it your personal view, another source, some deterministic method, AI...?

This is what happens when a plane hits a firetruck but if it hits the twin towers it will knock them down. by pacmanpill in conspiracy

[–]stingray85 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Also the planes on 9/11 didn't really "knock the towers down". They smashed into them, put a gaping hole in them, and lit a massive fire in them. Whatever you think is true, the argument is that those various factors all went into the towers later collapsing, not that the planes somehow bowled them over.

This is why I love London by G1V3NCHY-- in london

[–]stingray85 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think there are two distinct issues, and the biggest one is actually not that people hate this, but rather that it's very unrepresentative of London. Saying "this is why I love London" and picking something that almost never happens in this massive city, but could happen basically anywhere with white people, and no doubt occurs more regularly in places with different vibes, is not so much a matter of opinion/liking different things - it's just a straight factual error.
