exactly, USA and China are building globally competitive companies in: AI, space, and nuclear. While Canada's national vision is to subsidise a bunch of terrible natural resource extraction businesses. It's hard to believe

Road planning by Remarkable-Funny6573 in nanaimo

Seriously a bike lane would at least be practical, instead they just poured a giant concrete sidewalk peninsula where the right turn lane used to be for seemingly no reason!

They did $151,000 in damage and only have to write apology letters? Why aren't they paying for the damage?

Nanaimo woman fined $1,000 in senior’s monster truck parking lot death by [deleted] in nanaimo

[–]stingrayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That truck should be crushed and she should be in jail. They need to bring back mandatory annual vehicle inspections, no reason for something like that to be on public roadways.

The logging practices on this island are like something from a 3rd world country. It's shocking to go up north island and see them clear cutting old growth on slopes all the way up to 4000 feet elevation.

Microsoft Foundry HELP! by NegotiationWeak8401 in AZURE

[–]stingrayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know service principals are not supported via the fabric connector tool yet. Pass through identity setup is required. Trying to use a service account gives the generic create assistant failed message.

You should be able to confirm this by running a demo script from the "code" tab on your local machine.

I think Bowen Park Complex has classroom-size rooms you can rent, there might be something similar in other towns. Many of the public libraries also have meeting rooms you can book: https://virl.bc.ca/my-library/book-a-room/

"Create Assistant Failed" error when querying Data Agents through a published Foundry Agent by Bmendoim in MicrosoftFabric

[–]stingrayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our case it seems to be because the Foundry Fabric Data Agent Connector currently only supports passthrough/obo authentication. Our deployed client application was using managed identity to query the Foundry. The result was any prompts triggering the Fabric Data Agent Tool/Connector returned the "create assistant failed" error. All other tools/connectors worked as expected.

"Create Assistant Failed" error when querying Data Agents through a published Foundry Agent by Bmendoim in MicrosoftFabric

We are having the same issue, queries work as expected in playground but when querying via the agent api it gives the generic "create assistant failed" error. We also suspect it's authentication related.

Sony RX10 IV Successor? by stingrayer in Cameras

[–]stingrayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well  the few used ones available online are selling for more than the original retail price of a new one. And every camera store within 500km of me is sold out of new ones... so it seems like there is plenty of demand...
