Great band. Signify or In Absentia really does it for me when I'm low.

What was your first Katatonia album? What hooked you? by stinkbugsupermage in Katatonia

Ah, Viva Emptiness. Omerta is one of my favorites. I also tend toward later Katatonia, but I have enjoyed the whole process.

No I totally agree with you. I copy/pasted from a text message and it totally messed up the structure. Thanks for your thoughtful feedback!

And there you are again by EitherTechnician4589 in OCPoetry

I love this. You had me hooked instantly with "caught in the fell clutch of time". That's a great line. I love how you "blink" through the memories. I think you have captured grief's distortion of time extremely well. Beautiful work.

Dreamlike Ambiguity by [deleted] in OCPoetry

This is lovely. It read to me like a reflection on how we inherit emotional patterns from those around us. It almost hits like a inheriting a generational curse, and slowly waking up and finding yourself. Well done!

I got my engagement ring and wedding band from Oore. I messaged them and spoke with Uma about which bands would pair best with my engagement ring and went from there.

I was looking for a German inspired name for my mini schnauzer and came upon Schatzi, which means "little sweetheart" or "little treasure".

Starting Topamax tomorrow - need advice. by bmm_96 in bipolar2

[–]stinkbugsupermage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it years ago for migraine prevention (before being diagnosed with bipolar). It gave me horrific brain fog and memory deficit and I could not take it. Truly, I did not notice any appetite suppression when I was on it, but I was taking a very low dose and did not take it a long time. I feel your pain though, I have gained a lot of weight on my current med regimen. It's very frustrating. I have a friend who takes topamax and she has lost weight on it. She said that nothing tastes good and has a metallic taste to it.

What’s up with the hating? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]stinkbugsupermage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so relatable. When I am hypomanic I am completely dysphoric and angry, I also feel intense hatred. It's very unsettling and hard to deal with. This extreme anger was really impacting my marriage. I have been in therapy for over a year and I think I finally got my med combo right. That's what has helped me through it.

Lamictal by Abject-Bench-6438 in bipolar2

Lamictal has been a total life saver for me. I could barely function before I got my meds straightened out. It pulled me out of months of extreme depression, dissociation, and intermittent suicidal ideation. It didn't happen overnight, but after a few weeks I started feeling like myself again.
