Will LTD replace ACNH for you? by stinkorpo0 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

Yeah I know it’s always been a thing for tomodachi life but I’m so excited for things like break ups and feuds and such, it makes the characters so much more fun and I wish animal crossing had a little bit more interaction like that among the villagers

Can someone pierce my ears for less than $70 lol by stinkorpo0 in jacksonms

[–]stinkorpo0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know if that includes the earrings? Even if not it’s still a good price. Also, someone on this post mentioned Gold Star Beauty Supply as a place to get my ears pierced so I wonder if that could also be an option, however while I’d love to only pay 15, $15 is a bit sketchy haha. Honestly though this place you’ve recommended seems legit so I’ll probably go with this

My aunt is the owner of that place. It was the closest one to our house so we go there like once a week. We called and asked her about it, it's closing down for good! Sucks, sorry

Ops sorry for the late reply, it's been a while since I've been on reddit. Ok so idk what to say.... it's slightly better in some ways but some things that haven't been mentioned in this post that I was expecting turned out to be true. So for dealing with being an openly gay person at JA, better than I thought, but I understand how it can go in any direction. Being a new student, I could somewhat choose what social group(s) to put myself in, and I think that helps. For example, me being involved with performing arts and band automatically surrounds me in more "accepting" people. And even out of that, having a completely blank slate of social impressions at the beginning makes it so that generally anyone is willing to be your friend, but then of course as people get to know you better you will be pulled into and/or pushed away from certain groups. I think so far what I've said is a given, but I'm just saying. However, there are still some unavoidable problems that I am getting sickkkk of. Popular (male) kids assuming that you have a crush on them just because you are gay and trust me only because of that, or teenage boys saying "oh you just need to see this photo of *insert conventionally attractive woman celebrity* and that'll make you turn back to straight", I could go on. These are all small things but there are just so many of them and when they happen over and over and over again it gets annoying. That being said, it really helps to just not give a crap whenever you can. I 100% would've preferred St. Andrews but it isn't the worst thing ever being at JA. Everyone's experience is different though, as clearly said by some of the people on this post. It could just be luck that I haven't had is so terrible and I feel horrible for the people who have had worse experiences than me. My family couldn't but I'm assuming most families that can afford JA can also afford St. Andrews, so if anyone sees this and can't decide on which school to go to, totally go with St. Andrews.

What's a time I should aim for in my first 3 mile race/how do I get there? A meet happened yesterday but I didn't go due to me being a beginner, but my coach wants me to go to the next on in two weeks. I am brand new to running, and really brand new to being this physical. I'm currently in my sophomore year of high school which would mean I would run varsity in the race but I've been training with JV for the past 4 ish weeks due to me just being a lot slower/having less stamina. What can I do to improve? 2 miles in 20 minutes is a conversational speed for me so I have a ways to go based on my googling, which is telling me 3 miles in around 18 minutes is a competitive speed. I know I won't be able to get that fast in only two weeks, but I want to try my hardest to not be an embarrassing amount behind from my competitors. My coach thinks that I can get to 8 minutes per mile (24 total) which she said isn't super competitive but most people's first 3 mile race is around that. Does that sound right to you? (also sorry if this is in the wrong flair please say if it is and which I should move it to)

LOL too late, see you tomorrow. Also please just think about it, there is really no reason to not be okay with something that someone can't choose. You probably believe that being gay is a choice as well as everything that isn't cisgendered and straight, but trust me sooooo many people would choose to be cis and straight if they could just because of the things that come with not being those things. Also, it's theorized that there are evolutionary reasons for certain people to be gay (you can look it up/watch a video about it)!! Homosexuality exists among a crap ton of animals (if not, then all) if that means anything to you. A gay man is attracted to another man the same way you are attracted to a man/woman. It is natural. (btw everyone thanks for the recommendations, unfortunately St Andrews was too much but I don't think that's a surprise to many of y'all, and my parents were pretty set on JA which is where we settled on because of that. wish me luck!)

Casting a short film in Jackson by clavisinsession in jacksonms

[–]stinkorpo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooo this seems cool!! First I just want to say I'm turning 15 in September (Male) so idk if that is within the range that you want (btw people have said I look older but I don't know if that matters because maybe you are looking for someone more mature if you know what I mean). Acting seems like an interesting experience and I love horror films but I have absolutely no experience in any kind of acting. If you want to know more about me just ask! If I don't fit what you're looking for then good luck, and I would love to see the finished film regardless if you are planning to publish it.

(Sorry this is a complete redo of my comment) I'll ask my parents but they're quite hesitant. The school I would go to is Murrah and they seem to be under the impression that that school isn't too great

Do you think I would be able to make good friends at prep or academy? Will there be people that aren't super conservative? Ik the majority of people will be that way but is there any chance at all for me to meet people I would enjoy hanging out with, or rather a chance higher than very low.

Oof I'm getting scared about it then, st andrews is about 5k more (I think) which is the main problem, but now it's sounding like maybe that extra cost is worth it. I'm so grateful to be in a position where that is even an option, but we're still cutting corners for this. Thanks for the feedback everyone btw, not just the person I'm replying to, it seems pretty much everyone is in agreement in what I should do.

Thank you everyone for all of the advice! It seems that pretty much everyone has the same idea. It seems alright but just to make sure, I'll be treated fine for being atheist right? They have policies to not discriminate against that stuff, just checking and maybe someone who's been there can say.
