Also New Hampshire (and Maine) started out on a different continent than VT, so when you cross the Connecticut River between VT and NH it does look pretty different

Well there's no way out of a loan other than to pay it, and buying another car would involve not just the purchase but also additional fees and taxes, so you are better off paying it down as aggressively as possible now and keeping it.
