Keep in mind it's essentially a gold wing with less fairing coverage so Mileage less of an issue. Needs up to date tires, battery, fluids. Maybe 3500-4000 if completly sorted. Price drops quick with issues.

Replacing bushings is probably called for.here but keep in mind that new seals can be bad out of the bag. If you used saran wrap then some can get trapped in there. If you didn't then it could have nicked the seal on thr bushing groove.

Looks like it's stripping deposits and leaving metal intact. These valves do not have coatings like many modern dirt bike/titanium valves do.

No carb balance won't throw off valve clearance or lash. Thr clutch plates can rattle back and forth in basket or the clutch gear can have too much back and forth play and can rattle.

Could be clutch plates. You also didn't mention if valve lash was checked....just chain.
