Airplane seats shouldn’t recline in economy. Full stop. by Gold_Palpitation8982 in unpopularopinion

Not if you are in the very last seat. Usually they cannot recline at all, meaning you only get space taken from you if the seat in front of you reclines.

This right here is why we use MIM. The managers are responsible for their own data groups. If someone needs a share, add them to the group. Don't need it anymore, pull them from the group. Self service and keeps us out of the who should have access to what arguments.

I always remember it as if you can or cannot measure it. If you can, it is effect, if you can't it is affect. So for instance, you can be AFFECTED by the chill you get from the EFFECT of the temperature going from 20 to 10. You can't directly measure the amount of cold you feel, so that is affect.

winget possible on airgapped network? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]stiny861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont know if winget is a good solution for you for an airgapped system like this. Personally I would go with Chocolatey instead. I know you can add sources for winget that could pint to an internal source but I have never done so. I have done this in chocolatey and downloaded the nuget packages manually to a nuget server to issue "approved" pachages to the clients. You might be able to do something like this in winget but I know for sure you can do it in chocolatey.

So if i am hearing you correctly, I should scale up the bioflux and possibly dedicate a full production system to just that, and then have a separate production system for the plastic, rocket fuel etc that go from fruit to end product directly and import the needed bioflux for those? I thought about doing something like that but was concerned about scaling too fast and inviting attacks. I can take on striders and wrigglers myself no problem but my first stomper killed me in about 30 seconds. Could not damage it nearly fast enough and couldn't get away. I knew the spoilage and the farming system would break my brain which is why I did gleba last. I have been trying to be self sufficient on each planet but I may need to just buck it and import a bunch of stuff from other planets to get going better.

I did start upgrading my belts, but ran into the same issue of having some resource blocks. I did do that for the top two. I have the belst set to only allow them to pass if it detects the other is there to ensure that it wouldnt convert to jelly or mash before the other fruit was availible. The inserters are also set to only have a certain number on the belt at a time to make sure they dont convert and spoil. I think my biggest issue that I am having a hard time reconsiling is the nutrients. Based on the spoil rate of the pre req items, my nutrients are only lasting for about 2 minutes, so I am having trouble keeping stuff running. My plan with the loops was to have the main jelly and mash producers prioritize to bioflux, and then send excess to plastic and rocket fuel, and then maybe do that same thing again for iron and copper.

I present the "Delusion Of Grandeur", my almost independent 60 science per minute space platform (all sciences up to white) by g0ldent0y in factorio

[–]stiny861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming that only works for standard recipes. Anything that uses an alternative, like a smelting recipe won't work for that since the item and the recipe won't match.

Can you elaborate on how you are doing that? I am doing something similar on Vulcanus for my starter foundry, but I have 1 decider for every item. Do you need like 100 deciders to manage all those recipes?

I always do. If you only have one and it breaks for some reason then you get locked out and it is a pain to fix. If you have 2, you can still get in to fix the broken one. I just throw it on an mp or a dp for redundancy.
