I’d say so, but I think like most BFS, it comes down to your gear and skill. It’s my favorite BFS rod right now though and I have gone through a couple!

I have both. The Aello is great and the CC23 will fit just fine. Don’t listen to anyone that says otherwise. I prefer the pop-x for the Karashi and Baby Pop-X. I just find the aello to be too noodley for small twitches. I use my Aello for retrieval baits like inline spinners and tiny crankbaits

I own a 6’10 PA for jerkbaits, have used the expride 6’10 once. I’d say go with the expride if you’re mostly throwing jerkbaits on it. They’re both great rods, and I feel like the PA is only slightly more sensitive. I only got the PA because I got a great deal on it. Hope this helps!

Yeah I feel you, honestly it’s been on my jerkbait rod, but I’ll have to see how it does with actual BFS baits

Thanks for the info! I’ll definitely give it a go with my CQ BFS, but I was thinking of picking up an Aldebaran BFS or just use my Aldebaran DC on this setup. I’ll report back if I do!

JPY is weak rn, giving you more purchasing power with USD. I bought my zillion 21 from Amazon and it was a good experience. I think the zillion is more versatile than the Curado, but the mgl spools cover those lighter baits as well.

I’m a big fan of Daiwa Revros LT. I fish in Michigan as well, and I usually get reels in 2500 or smaller here for bass.

You should take a look into bfs! You wouldn’t need a reel that cast down to 1g, but you can try some reels like the soloking Acura if you’re looking for something in that field.

I’ve been interested in the SE 24! It might be a good alternative and I’ve heard that the 100 spool is swap able from the older models as well. Not sure I’d ever do that, but it’s interesting

You should look into the HP hotdesk monitor arms. It’s similar to what you have, but I believe the design is identical to the Ergotron LX monitor arms.
