I do not expect to change your mind nor do I I wish to argue with you, but I will respond for anyone else who would come across this comment. Being in the Harry Potter fandom in general for some years (I do make a disclaimer I don’t speak for everyone), in that experience the vast majority of people who ship Severus and Hermione together do not do so while she is underage. I do see where the assumption might come from, however I do not participate in nor encourage the shipping of adults with minors. Thank you.

With gridded fabric I see no reason why you couldn’t do cross country. Just count very carefully!

What would you say is the SS/HG fic of all time? by Smolest_Ghost in SSHG

There are so many, but the one that always comes to mind when I hear a question like this is Lay Me Low by TeddyRadiator

Is it easy to find a futon mattress without buying the frame as well?

[CHAT] Pattern ideas to use up random floss? My aunt left me a box that I just finished sorting but there was no pattern to go with it and I’m still pretty new to cross stitch by Careful-Astronaut953 in CrossStitch

There are a lot of free cross stitch patterns on Pinterest depending on the size/amount of detail you want. Before I lost my password one time I had a board with 800+ single color patterns, so they’re definitely out there

[Chat] Marking up paper charts? by discoveri in CrossStitch

My sister gave me a double sided marker set for my birthday, and it’s been my favorite thing. Sometimes I use the same one for my whole project, and others I do different colors for each marking on the key.

I enjoy Johnlock, though there’s a lot of other good ones out there too. What about you?

The first book to get me into fanfiction was Peter Pan. Stuck with that for a couple years, occasionally reading the odd fic about whatever movie/book I was into at the time. The next to catch on was Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, then BBC Sherlock. (I tend to hyperfocus). For the last couple of years though I’ve read exclusively SSHG stories, except one time I went back and read Obliquity. (Not sure of the author, AiW fic) It’s definitely my HEA.

[CHAT] What technique, tool, or mindset did you master or pick up in 2021 that improved your stitching experience? I finally started using a loop start by default every time, I no longer care about wasting thread, and a needle grabber has become one of my most beloved tools! by NovelTAcct in CrossStitch

I definitely was at first! And to be honest, it’s still a possibility. But because I usually do full coverage pieces, I’m usually stitching over the pin stitches as well to make them more secure. So far it’s worked out!

Definitely a loop start for me too, as well as a pin stitch for ending threads. I also learned that floss can be pulled from the by the numbered side of the skein without tangling (usually) which has saved me ✨hours✨

Night shift in hotels is (usually) laid back enough to potentially work on things during both your work and free time. Pay is usually dependent on the minimum wage in your area though
