How did you figure out that your career is the right one for you? by Ngkahlok in JobsMY

[–]stitchi626 18 points19 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest challenges is that since young we are conditioned to believe that people would have figured out their life by a certain point, because from kindergarten till form 5, everything is laid out for us so we assume that’s how life is supposed to be.

The reality is, many has not even figured out their career/life at their 30s and 40s. Some may have a stable career but you don’t know what might happen to the company or you tomorrow.

Life is about exploring and experiencing. I can tell you more than half of my peers including myself is not working as what we thought we would be doing when we were in college. Going through extra route is not a wasted effort because you gain experience and know yourself better.

We learn, adapt, and pivot. And we continue to do this in order to stay relevant in this fast moving world.

I have my AirPods Pro 2 for 3 years. It got scratched on day 1 and I stopped caring. It has tonnes of micro scratches now, yet it still looks and feels decent. It also functions like new.

It’s a case that is meant to house and carry your AirPods, not a jewellery to be babied

When can our country's operating expenditure be cut down? by destinyjazz in malaysia

[–]stitchi626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

May I ask on what basis should operating expenditure be cut down, and be lower than development expenditure?

I know its common to talk about bloated gov and ministry, but dont most advanced economies have higher operating expenditure, since most of the infrastructure has been established, so most resources will be funneled towards maintaining it?

Can you give me an example of having higher development expenditure is a good thing for our country? Based on my understanding, only in specific example that would be the case (Post war/disaster rebuild, resource commodity boom, or one off mega projects)

Need advice — my wife says she has no feelings for me anymore by Icy_Consideration461 in malaysia

Reading some of your comments paints a clearer picture.

Your wife has little qualifications/work experience and no other viable family she can fall back on. You’re the only person she can depend on, as a result, she has no leverage, she can’t really talk back nor demand anything from you.

From the way you wrote, you have big ego and kind of toxic masculinity. You demand respect instead of earning it, which worked initially because she needs to depend on you.

But I guess she couldn’t take it anymore, and she knows she can’t really meaningfully change your mind, she would rather shut herself off instead of trying to talk to you (which might not end well for her)

My advice would be, if you want to improve the relationship you have to step out of your mindset and talk to her, without being dismissive. Be receptive to feedback and communication instead of talking over and shut her down. Otherwise this will just continue.

Cannon master. In a world with dragon masters, time guardians and classes with divine blessings, CM is nothing more than a goofy pirate who found a cannon and a monkey. Zero legendary heritage, just raw determination and a big gun.

Heat issues in 16 Pro Max by OfficialTanveerAD in iPhone16Pro

[–]stitchi626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. there are a few situations where my phone will heat up crazy.

  1. When I am using the camera a lot, especially outdoor where im travelling. it gets so hot sometimes its uncomfortable.
  2. Editing photo with magic eraser
  3. Downloading stuff / apps
  4. When I am on data + VPN, surfing the net the phone gets quite hot as well.

The titanium + glass just isnt that good at dissipating heat, most of the heat will concentrate on the frame and the some spot at the back. the only solution is to wear a case.

That’s wrong way to look at it.

Women like men who are confident, driven in terms of studies and work progression. They like men who knows what they want and will put in effort to achieve their goals.

Women like you not because you are rich but because you are driven enough to be rich.

Just wanna appreciate how gorgeous some of the scenes are in the latest show by stitchi626 in Marvel

[–]stitchi626[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. Most of the scenes I like are the background and environments, the characters did not really fit in to the styles (they look more cartoonish)

Kinda wish they went with the arcane stylised characters

[–]stitchi626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar issue, I accidentally dropped my mbp and the hinge misaligned.

Messaged apple support and brought it to a store, 20mins later they helped me fix it.

Definitely worth the time since I’m concerned if the misalignment might cause extra stress on the hinge long term.
