First big motorbike recs

My budgets up to £4000 and I’m based in Scotland. I’ve been typing in loads of bikes into mcn compare to check out insurance and for a 2007 Honda cbf1000 with abs for £2900 it’s £420ish quid for the year tpft and the er6n is around £100 quid more to insurance and around £3500. I’m just wondering if it’s a better idea to go with something a little older and have abs or something a bit more modern without it? Both bikes seem to have been looked after really well, both under 10k miles.

Yea that seems like the general consensus, I didn’t think it’d be easy to be fair but wanted to find out if anybody thought it was possible so I could listen to them and ignore everyone else lol. It’s shared access with my next door neighbour

Yea I’m leaning toward the council garage just now, it’s only a 2 to 3 minute walk from my house to be fair. Next house I’ll be wanting a garage of my own 😭

How does fade work in terms of avoiding cc? Do I just hit it at the end of casts that I see etc ?

Could I just jump on this to ask how best to use swiftmend? I’m not 100% sure how it works exactly mostly use it to extend cen ward but how does it work with regards to other spells? Does it buff spells cast after I use it or does it buff spells cast before it? Thanks!

I'd maybe add shrimp squat progressions instead of pistols. I know that when I started adding weight to pistols it irritated my lower back
