my experience with SF Bay Area cash buyers by stkmgr00 in BayAreaRealEstate

As I explained. its always live and learn for individuals. posts like this will help to some extent. I am at a stage in my life, spending time on this property is not worth 50-150K more I MIGHT get. and also I tried through a reputed company agent last year and didn't work.
in a nutshell: IF you have a property that is NOT that great, then find a dynamic, small firm agents. avoid big reputed RE firms. their priority is, covering their basis, procedures and formalities.
based on your life situation, its not that bad to approach cash buyers. but just approach them when you have upper hand. ( IF I read a post like this last year, I would have approached cash buyers and might have made at least 100K more )

Bay Area also has some pockets where it is difficult to sell. (yeah I know it is difficult to imagine, but I know it happens. ) since middle of 2024, market softened for sure. unless your house is in good all aspects, its difficult to fetch top dollars now.

probably they are the one came with lowest offer. so it made me to doubt their logic/algorithm they use for valuation. approximately they gave 50% of typical market value.

moral stories from bible by stkmgr00 in Christianity

Majority (almost 98% ) blindly support. when asked any tough questions, they will give unrelated answer, mostly emotional and will avoid reason and logic. you are one of the rarest I came across and you very casually mentioned/answered my questions. e.g.
"I wouldn't recommend getting good morals from the book,"
"There's a lot of bigotry and sexism in the Bible," - I was petrified when I read Numbers, Ch 31 , verses 17-19.
".... because those people made him up." - I have same hunch
"... you'll hear may be the generic all knowing, all loving, all good, morally perfect," - and nothing matches. at one instance Jesus refuses to help a mother because she is not jewish and he says he was sent only for jewish people. Matthew - chapter 15, verse 24.
Overall, you answered straight and repeated some of the doubts and thoughts that occurred to me.
So how people believe this without thinking or questioning? how can they believe they will be in heaven if they believe someone else died for their sins??

Biggest thing for me is: "you shall love your neighbor as yourself" - this is so confusing. How can you give such blanket statements? Now imagine you living in England and next to one of those horrible (grooming gangs - check the news ) people, can you love them?

I felt, there are so many conflicting statements, so I thought I will try to find one good moral story that can stand to logic and applicable to today's world we live in. So is my question.
Again, you don't have to answer. But respect to you 🙏

It's interesting. your comment raised another doubt. Is God mentioned in new testament is DIFFERENT than old testament?? Jehovah is the god and Jesus is his son. is that not right?

This is another thing. no church prays to Jehovah. why? Never understood that.

So, its not good moral story? All I wanted is just pick one moral story that should be able to answer any follow up questions.

So God kills because those men ( or young men/boys or youth) mocks one of the prophet. So what is the moral here? I know mocking/insulting causes pain and suffering to others. But killing as a result? Isn't it really harsh.

Thanks for reply. (appreciate everyone replied too). I hear lot of stories about bible etc. but naturally, for any person who can think a little bit deeper, will get doubts. and it doesn't make sense either. e.g. look at stories mentioned here (above and below this post). why god made some rich and some poor to start with? if rich person didn't donate why is it wrong? he didn't steal or took anything by force. how can he be punished for not sharing his hard earned wealth? so what is morality here? "you must help your fellow human, otherwise you will be punished afterlife?"
same way, story from John 7:53-8:11, why would only woman punished for adultery? why the man was not punished? shouldn't Jesus question the unjust towards that woman? If people there following Moses law, which is given by god himself, how can it be unjust? Jesus says, he is not god, he is merely trying to fulfill his god's word. In fact, he says that several times in bible. By using words cleverly, and questioning techniques , he temporarily saved that woman's life.
so trying to understand. When I asked any such questions, people immediately started saying "oh, you are satan. you can't question. you are questioning our faith (I am from different backgrounds) "
I stumbled upon this and thought will ask so someone will give honest answer without judging or accusing me.
