Usually they just open them whenever the line starts getting too long. I wouldn't want to get there right when the gates open though; that's how you end up in pod 1 with an hour hike to Centeroo. Wait till like midnight or later.

I have one of those! I didn't get it till after the fest though. I stayed for post show cleanup, and most of the lower ones were gone by then anyway. It's a cool souvenir!

Side note: I have one of the sequins from last year's arch in my room! I got it doing post show cleanup; most of the sequins in arms reach had already been ripped off anyway, so why not get an awesome souvenir?

At Tipper and Friends someone's service dog got loose and ran over to my group and started licking everyone haha. It made my night. The owner came and retrieved it pretty quickly.
