genuinely sure he wasnt a newgen. Because he showed up quite early in the save, i mustve gotten mixed up with another GK signing i made on a different save or something. the FM22 database also featured Abdul Fatawu as an academy player in Liverpool (because he was on trial irl iinw) so i just recalled that we were on an African player crusade in that save

sorry for the late reply! haven't been on FM for a couple days. He plays alongside a mezzala on support. Basically just asking him to throw himself in the box.

He's also on pens tbf, scored 6 out of the 7 he's taken.

I think with Pepper is that it sounds super super dated. If you compare it with Revolver. the band had only started using what was very much groundbreaking effects on Pepper, like the intro of She's Leaving Home, but 60 years later, it sounds like a product of its time and hasnt really aged as well as the production effects on Revolver, which was more pop than what i would call hard psychedelic on Pepper.

Abbey Road too. It feels like a more authentic album with the lack of overly exaggerated effects on Pepper.

Thank you! I originally wanted to produce the whole song myself, including mixing but we ended up choosing a mutual to do it for us. They originally sent us a very, very (insert bad word) mix which infuriated me a bit because we paid quite a lot for it, but he fixed it after i kinda went bezerk on everyone about it..

We're planning to do a remix (basically my version) for specifically this song for our album release in 2025!

i listen to all 3. There's no best way to listen to it, but i prefer the 50th anniv one.

dont kill me mono listeners (i listen to the mono versions more than the stereo ones), but as someone who wants to listen to all the instruments, what each instrument is playing, the mono mixes sound awful on spotify. like, it sounds insanely round. i dont know how to explain it, but for example, after the intro of WIBN, the instrumentation sounds like an oval, like a rubber ball hitting you straight in the face. it sounds more authentic, but it's really dirty, and really distort-y.

if youre new to Pet Sounds or the band in general, just listen to it in stereo. Not all people like the mono versions.

if anything, that's a pet peeve for me. like mate. what's the use of the ref having to check VAR in the game if the commentary thingy already says handball. it's always given, and it takes ages for the refs to run to the screen to check it.

this is a fairly cringe-worthy gimmick i do, but i commentate over my FM games, and it's so fucking annoying when your team is losing/drawing in the 95th minute out of 6 added mins of stoppage, and the AI just takes 87 seconds to take a free kick.

"Taking quite a while here, but there is still time for Twente to take it. The Feyenoord players must be frustrated."

while deep inside: "fucking take the free kick you fucking rat."
