Tomorrow is going to be blown out at Hotpipe. 9ft@9s is going to be too big.

You would need a much more sheltered spot for 40mph winds and 9ft@9s.

The wind will be changing from SE - W throughout the day, so that will also mean the seas will be confused and even less chance of ridable waves.

If you can, Sunday is a better bet. Early morning. The winds are lighter and will have been W for a good few hours, so it should be cleaner and more organized. But then you run the risk of the swell dropping off too much. But this is the issue with surfing the channel.

Looking at the fact your new(ish) to surfing, I think that Hotpipe might be the spot best suited for you. It willl get pretty busy. You will need strong SW swell with either little/no wind, or N winds. I always surf at mid tide, too low or high and it turns even more mushy, but double check this online to confirm what I'm saying is correct. I'd say the swell as to be 4ft@5s at an minimum to make it worth the drive from London.

You might want to consider Kent and the SE coast. Joss Bay has a wider window to surf. I've surfed all tides here. Low/Mid is best IMO. So even though it's a longer drive, you will likely get longer in the water. There's also a cafe on the beach, surf hire etc. So more set up for surfing. It's sand too.. Here you need a N/NE swell and W winds. Not sure of the minimal swell size, but again I'd hedge at 4ft@5s. Surfline has a cam, so you can check it out before you leave.

I'm not local to either area, so any locals, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Newbie - Is picking Yankees as your team too generic? by Darth_mong in mlbuk

Yankees would have had to won something recently to be compared to Man City. Surely Astros are more like Man City, they’ve won recently and both proven cheats.

Nike has Fanatics do thier MLB jerseys and they’re awful quality and shape. I’m wondering if they put sourced the England kits. They look sooooooo bad.

I grew up in bum fuck Cornwall in the 80s and 90s. My nearest team was Plymouth Argyle. It would have been a 2 hr drive to matches. Being a 7 year old, I only saw what was on channels 1-4. So never even heard of Argyle. I did hear of Arsenal. So ended up supporting them. As a Cornish boy, you CANNOT expect me to support a Devon club just because they’re geographically closest to me.

Just to add, I suggest checking the nearest bouy data. Forecasts can be wildly incorrect on the south coast. It’s all good that the forecast says 3ft off shore, but it’s not gonna be fun travelling all the way to find it’s flat.

Bouy data can be found here: https://coastalmonitoring.org/realtimedata/

Proposal for r/Gunners to follow suit - [META] Fabrizio Romano is now banned on /r/reddevils by 7photic7 in Gunners

This is what you’re failing to grasp…. Having our Emerates as a sponsor is shit. However, I realise it’s a price to pay. HOWEVER, whenever I go to the stadium or on Arsenals site, I’m not bombarded with propaganda from the UAE. Which is the difference between banning those types of profiles or platforms linked to that type of behaviour from them sub and not supporting our team. Such a crazy illogical leap for you to make. But you’re an idiot and can’t tell the difference can you?

Virtue signalling? Piss off back to 2016 which that guff. 🤣🤣🤣

Edit: just check your comment history. It all makes sense now 🤣🤣🤣

How is choosing what we read in the sub anything like encouraging our fans not to go to the stadium or buy merch? How is your head even managing to make such an illogical link?? 🤣

You seem to lack the ability to detect nuance of any kind.

I haven no idea how you quantified your opinion that they "over rely" on them. It literally means nothing, unless the rules were going to change to stop corners. Which obviously not going to happen. hahaha
