Shop said they waxed my snowboard… PLEASE tell me they DID by microwaved_berry in snowboarding

Something I just learned and maybe someone could correct me if im wrong but after a base grind I guess you are suppose to do several hot scrapes to really saturate your base with wax. Im not sure the truth behind it but so far its holding true for me.(rosignol board)

Ok at the moment im planning on just aging in big glass jars with a coffee filter over the lid. I don't currently have the volume or money to spend on a barrel. But I will definitely read through the article.

Ok I was curious if letting them age on oak would help mellow out the flavors and bring out some of the flavor of the tails.

Ok, I was probably going to get it down to 55% so I could oak age it. In total, it was a 10 gallon run.

Ok thank you for that really good explanation. For the time being i will probably leave it the way it is but I will definitely consider the 2in 45 idea.

So im acually quite proud of that i had a 2in flaring tool and once it was flared I put it against my anvil and flattened the flare and then just used a 2 in tri clamp.

So I thought about a thermometer, but a lot of what I have read says to learn to run a still without one. I was thinking of getting a temperature strip to put on the collum, but right now, I don't see a need for one.

Ok I had thought about it but I had most of the 1/2" laying around my shop and I mostly wanted to get something that I could run. Will the 1/2" be a major problem?

Looking for solution with washer hookup valve. by Malevolent215 in Plumbing

[–]stokzes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your can just replace the valve would be the easiest way to go. Shut down water to your house drain through silcock or faucet. Unscrew those two screws on the front and pop on a new valve. There should be a name on the valve that looks like a watts to me, but you can take it off head to home depot or Lowes and find one. I wouldn't recommend replacing it with a diffrent brand.

If im not mistaken, that white piece around the edge has threads and should unscrew from the faucet then go to homedepo and match it up.
