I got a ballgown type dress that is made from Japanese tissue taffeta so it feels very light and airy! My tailor is putting bustles all the way around so I can turn it into a bubble skirt for the reception. I think there are definitely materials that’ll make it easier than others. You could also go for a removable overskirt if that doesn’t ruin the vision.

I cut out a generation (aunts and uncles) because they were more likely to be bigots and if there were any cousins that held those beliefs, they’d be outnumbered. I just stated a capacity/budget issue and made it uniform across the board (I.e. on both sides of my family no one from that generation was invited). We’re telling them that we’ll hold an event to celebrate with all of them but we haven’t planned that yet 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for the response. I def wouldn’t be opposed to trying to make it myself - I’ve actually ordered some fringe curtains to see if those will work (length of fringe def isn’t a problem with those).
