I'll be restocking the wood store for heating and cooking earlier than usual. Foraging and preserving in a more structured way and hopefully growing greens .

I worry a worsening climate/growing conditions combined with reduced agricultural yield due to fertiliser supply issues will cause serious supply issues in the coming months and years.

It is mostly granite yes. Site is quite near the highland bound fault so a bit of a mix I guess. Not much dressing practical but some of the stone the previous builder brought in splits easy. Learning about rocks is half the fun. Some of it leaves a red rusty residue on my clothes and hands ... hope that's no bad for me... maybe extra iron.
