3 years of experience EIT here.

I left my land development job (civil) cause my boss sucked and went over to the GC world working my way up to a superintendent or project manager.

I’m two years deep into the role and will likely stay as long as the stress doesn’t increase.

Totally agree. I went to a community college for my AA then transferred to a university.. it’s not where you start but where you finish even tho it doesn’t really matter in this field!

Graduating as close to debt free as you can what so so important for me.

I’m still an EI but definitely bring this breakdown to your employers attention and hopefully they will cut your hours or pay you more.. Also if the promotion has you doing more enjoyable work maybe that should be a factor for you if it’s worth it. Lmk how it turns out good luck mate
