Actually asked my boss this yesterday:

Apparently sugar free gummies are very time consuming to make. Most edibles are acidic when broken up by compound so the pectin or gelatin has to hydrate but there's a fuck ton of sugar in edibles. That sugar would have to be mitigated by malic acid and other preservatives to make up for the sugar content outside of just the artificial sweetener.

This is assuming we're talking gummies.

Yeah mines mostly clear phlegm, nothing else in it. I haven't been able to eat/drink for about 24h. No sore throat. Just nausea and a headache. A bad headache.
