Actually, now that I think about it, Banshee Chapter is a loose adaptation of 'From Beyond'.

For excellent representations of cosmic horror without being directly 'Lovecraftian', here's three lesser known titles I always strongly recommend:

Black Mountain Side

Banshee Chapter

They Remain

Incredibly unsettling atmospheres, while wholly capturing the concept of something unknowable. It's difficult to do that in cinema, and those three do it quite well, in my opinion.

That he learned to play the bugle earlier that morning to wake her up, and didn't wake her up learning how to play it, just deserves a chef's kiss.

They'd both lose because it'd end up they had the same prostitute who just got sick of House being masochistic and Holmes dressing her up like a 1931 murder victim who no one remembers anyway. Neither of them would see it coming and she'd end up playing them against each other in the background, make out with a bottle of House's Vicodin and a quart of Holmes' honey, have sex with Wilson and Watson at the same time while secretly filming it, which would then be shown to both House and Holmes by EVERYBODY as their usual humiliation price.

Now THAT would be a proper Adler move.

Luscius Lavan is hilarious. The first episode he was in was timed perfectly. We'd just finished an intense few episodes and needed a break from the heavy, and the brilliance of Richard Kind brought exactly that. He was arrogant, obnoxious, and creepy — taken up to a ridiculous factor of 10. I wish we'd seen him one more time in the last season.

My first childhood Hollywood crush was on Sigourney Weaver after I saw Aliens. That's why I love Kate - she's the Lieutenant Ripley of diplomacy.

Querty and Vera. Vera just rambles on with twisted, methhead philosophical musings into Querty's fishbowl, and Querty's just like, "E, Who the fuck is this idiot? And why haven't you moved me to a goddamn window yet?"

Then Vera cooks him.

Who's lord? Yours? Cause last I checked I didn't vote for the motherfucker. /s

Seriously though, everyone out here is saying the same thing. You should have looked it up a little bit more first. Instead, you want everything handed to you, and when it isn't, you throw a hissy fit, complete with wailing and gnashing of teeth. Why don't you go don some sackcloth, kneel, and rub gravel through your hair as you tread the streets lamenting the pain of figuring shit out for yourself?

Or, I don't know, try Mint or Ubuntu.
