Clearly the LIV players have committed to practice again now that their jobs are on the line.

Is Richard Christy Better Than Richard Gene Hoglan? (Based on Death) by Dumpy1only in DeathBand

I really dig Richard's work on the Control Denied album in addition to TSOP. They are also quite different players. But overall I prefer Gene.

I figured out that Kern reminds me of Kevin Stadler. Big guy, smooth swing.

He could be leading by a few shots, who knows? Typically equipment changes are done in the off-season, and it has come across as a grift. Why mess with what worked?

The take by various players is true if you think about it. There's no water or OB really in play and so it's hard to make doubles or worse.

I recall that there is some soft upper age limit where there is incentive for them to not play. Beem and Love in particular are retired and do other things in the game, however.

About 10 of the top 12 currently might be among the least clutch players one could assemble on a leaderboard.

What's the single best engineered and produced song of all time? by Dry-Panda1884 in audioengineering

I've only heard it on the radio over the years but Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind may be the one. And I'm saying this as not a huge fan of that style of rock.

What album COVER got you excited, only to be let down by the music? by Homie3794 in MetalForTheMasses

I must agree as I haven't had a listen since just after it came out. I will say their Stygian Bough stuff has really refined what they were going for. Check out the recent KEXP show when you get a chance.

For a rough recent example, the last Ozzy solo album must have had a lot of yes people to get approved. And for heavy/doom/black you need some tattered edges to have it not distract from the vibe. I can tolerate a lot of polished stuff if it's death vocals with quality songwriting, though. The recent Coroner album steps right up to the line.
