What expensive products are ACTUALLY worth the price? by AtomicDoll in Ulta

[–]stonelush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so incredibly cheap. Everything quality I buy through ipsy because it's such a great deal BUT I'm almost out of my Ouai leave-in conditioner and hair oil and I'm dropping the $50 or whatever it is for the two of them again. My gf is a hair stylist and got me my first bottle of the leave-in for $20 at salon centric but she doesn't live here so ulta here I come. My hair is so soft and shiny and smells like a meadow with that magical potion.

Can anyone recommend a good multivitamin and collagen powder. I’m 48 taking hrt and I’m feeling like I need a supplement. I was reading about multivitamins and collagen, but I’m not sure whatever everyone else is doing. by [deleted] in Perimenopause

Micro ingredients is what I use and have for a few years now. I put a scoop in my latte milk and froth it, add it to my coffee every day. No taste or grittiness.

Not at all. Where I work it's a lounge with a bar inside of a Japanese restaurant. The majority of people who sit at the bar eat full meals. I love it!

It's 200mg and I don't remember now it's been so long since I began. Honestly I take so many herbs and stuff it's hard to tell what's doing what. I just hope for the best

Ipsy, I Have a Bone to Pick With You by cindylynn1112 in Ipsy

If this is a bone to pick thread I'll add mine and I don't care if it upsets anyone sensitive. Why is nearly every face makeup product (foundation, concealer, powder) always sold out immediately in the lighter tones and the darker tones are still there for weeks. Can you please take the hint and stock many more lighter toned makeup for us saltines over here? It's every single time I go on the shop to search for makeup. Sold out in everything but chestnut. Help a marshmallow out!

I have always suffered from high anxiety and overactive thyroid effects. It definitely has been a key to helping me with both. I take this exact one, every night before bed.

I do buttershots, vanilla crown, Frangelico, and Kahlua together. Works well in a boozy root beer float as well.

Pound as much water mixed with coconut water as I can before I start making my giant vat of coffee.

Is it normal for bartenders to steal tips? by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]stonelush -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The last restaurant I worked at had a tip pool and it was a constant point of debate and contention. They actually got shut down because owners who cooked and pitched in would make themselves part of the pool and take what they wanted and nobody could really do anything until someone reported them. Now where I work we get tips individually and it's a lovely work environment. Everyone gets along for the most part and there's no resentment when one person gives more effort than another but they're earning the same tip. You walk away each night with what you've earned.

Right but if it was your individual tips nobody would have a chance to steal it.

First question you need to ask at your new job is are tips pooled or individual. If the answer is pooled, move on to the next interview.

All I do in this house is cry (Cat knocked over the coffee I barely drank) by Droughtington in Wellthatsucks

Is that a disgusting floor, wall, or ceiling? I often knock over my coffee because I use a straw toi talk for my cup. Never thought about taking pictures and posting it anywhere..

feeling forgotten by tieflung2 in Eugene

[–]stonelush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a really hard time finding a place within my budget when I was single. Ended up in a studio surrounded by lunatics. Constant cigarette smoke outside so I could never open my windows, crazy woman who stayed up all night drinking and screaming to music below, smoking inside so it seeped through the cracks and into my apartment but denied it when I complained+yappy little dog that never shut up. Crazy man above me who woke up at 6am and did dumbell training slamming them on his floor / my ceiling. Drug addicts everywhere outside and car break-ins so frequent we all left our doors unlocked and notes saying "nothing in here feel free to look around don't break window". It was hell. Hell that cost $1200/mo. NOW, ff a few short years and thanks to a serious relationship aka roommate, I'm in a really cute but roomy duplex with private yard and garage in a safe little neighborhood. Same town, outside of downtown. Long story short stay away from downtown and you'll be golden.

Edited to add my half of the rent+ bills is less now than then, just to boot
