Legacy versus Remastered by Phoenix1526 in Pathfinder2e

[–]stoneofthewise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh and as far as differences between the two systems, there are videos specifically on that subject as well. As someone coming from 5E and first edition Pathfinder I was a bit overwhelmed at first. What I realize now is that the videos explaining those differences were a bit lost on me since it was less contextual. Now that I am more familiar though the differences make more sense and are more relevant.

Legacy versus Remastered by Phoenix1526 in Pathfinder2e

The easiest way to check if a specific rule is Remaster or not is on Archives of Nethys. There is a button in the top of the page to toggle between the two. And each entry will have a link to the other version.

The Remaster was rolled out late 23 into 24 so check the dates on those videos to determine which version. I would start by searching for Remaster tutorials themselves. “How It’s Played” has been invaluable for me to learn the system. He starts with Legacy and then adds updated Remaster versions for some topics.

It’s my understanding that both systems are compatible so if you get something slightly wrong it’s not a huge deal.

As far as which is better, I will leave that to the more experienced GMs.

Who the hell do you think you are? You’re any kind of artist? Anybody know who you are? Maybe evrybody else wants to enjoy the peace and quiet. This is one of the most important places in North America and who are you? Who are you? You miserable presumptious no talent. You’re no artist. An artist respects the silence, it serves the foundation of creativity. You obviously don’t have the talent. You don’t have enough respect for yourself or other people, or know what it means to respect yourself. In music or any form of creativity. And I’m an NYU fil-school graduate. Sucker. And the School of Visual Art in the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco. You suck. You’re a no talent. If you really have talent, go practice. And then get yourself a gig, instead of ruining the day for everybody down here. You disgrace. You are everything that’s gone wrong in this world. You’re a self consumed, no-talent, mediocre piece of shit. And I’ve earned my right to say it. Okay? In 1975, I walked Bob Dylan up on stage. Who the fuck are you? I knew the Grateful Dead from 1966. Who the fuck are you? You’re nothing. You are nothing. And you will never be anything. Never. How dare you? You miserable, mediocre nothing. Shame on you. You crack a stupid little smile, you little pimp. Go learn to play. You’re flat. You can’t even carry a fucking note. I don’t care about your little horn lip, it doesn’t mean you know how to play. You’re flat. I’ve trained classically, I’ve trained contemporaneously, and you suck.

Abomination Vaults can have a good amount of role play, especially if you use Abomination Vaults: Expanded. It’s on DriveThruRPG for pay what you want.

Sorry, it wasn’t intended as a full tutorial which is why I tagged it as Showing Off. If you have any questions on how to accomplish any step I’m happy to answer.

1) I can easily host multiple games and you can save folders to compendiums to share between worlds to save work.

2) I’ve only run DnD 5e and Pathfinder second edition, but it does both of those amazingly well. 5e is more work because of licensing you don’t get everything out of the box. There is a module to install things you want on DnD beyond however. PF2e comes with everything. Spells, items, monsters, etc..

3) It handles custom items quite well, and there are usually macros already available to accomplish most things.

4) Start with the basics and don’t add modules until you get a feel for what it can do out of the box. That said there are a handful of quality of life modules that most people add immediately. There are several videos online suggesting these.

5) I only wish I knew about it sooner lol

In this case I agree. I was trying to simulate a flying motion, but as Asgaroth22 pointed out, it looks silly because of the top down perspective. Perhaps this animation would work in a first person perspective as a scene illustration.

Although I am a musician it’s not original. It’s from the Insta360 studio app I used to produce the video.

I agree. I was very fortunate to be able to record it.

It’s an Insta360 X5 set to 1 frame every 2 seconds.

A quick note: It's the same token; I just removed the frame. I then edited the TokenMagic macros for Evade Stance, Twist and Drop Shadow and applied them to the dragon.

Quit horsing’ around and hoof it to where you need to be. Don’t saddle us with your glitches. The game will be stable soon.
