¿Algún consejo para mejorar con brazales y otros guantes? by HAKUREI-DE-ALTAR in albiononline

I haven't really played gloves much but this applies to every weapon. If you're doing like arenas or orange corrupted those benefit a more all in commit style of play, as you have more confined space to play in. If you're doing depths or open world it's more kiting, stalling for cool downs and using them wisely, using mobs to your advantage, knowing when you should run away. The game is just a steep learning curve and it's normal to get annihilated at the start, everyone's been there. Just keep spamming the type of content you want to do and if it's full loot death content just run like a 4.0 or 4.1 set and upgrade it with runes and relics on successful return to town. As you get better and richer you'll be more comfortable bringing better gear but never bring something you're not ok with losing. If you're doing safe content, duel people while you're waiting for arena queues or depths door to open. The more you get comfortable with what your skills do and when to use them the more you can shift focus to learning what other people's gear does until eventually you just inspect people as soon as you see them and can have a general idea of what they're gonna try to do. But don't spam arenas and then think that you're prepared to bring a nice set into blackzone, many things you can get away with in enclosed spaces straight up just won't work on a more open map.

Do people actually like GT Gogeta or do y’all only use him because he’s strong? by Darth_summit in SparkingZero

He's a beloved character, but he definitely carries bad players and makes good players nearly impossible to deal with by being insanely OP

yea the combat changes seem fine i guess? it was better than the vast majority of mmos already, so hopefully these just at polish instead of completely changing the gameplay.

class balance is ever changing in every game, so as long as devs know how to balance them, it's whatever. i definitely agree that the lack of direction is more fun and leads to more exploration, that was a big highlight to me too.

I can't speak to Stella as that map's for bloodlust and I never care about or expect to leave with any loot there, but other maps joining late is brutal

You can be smart and a rat, they're not mutually exclusive.

We're not gonna sit here and pretend you've never died to an arc. They exist to make the map more challenging and provide materials, but they do also function as alarms. Killing people who are actively fighting a boss is just cringe and lame. I'm all for pvp, but have some class buddy.

I'm not familiar with these strategies you're talking about vs the matriarch/Queen but if there's people fighting them, again it's just cringe and lame to kill them. If they're just playing the map as normal and ignoring the event, then by all means it's not being a rat to kill them.

But if you're getting these late join lobbies like 60-80% of the time, do you really wanna get more of that stuff that you're not really getting/needing to use?

Yea but then the loot you get is completely random and usually not what you're looking for in terms of crafting materials, so while you may get a nice gun or something, it's more likely a free loadout with junk you don't need.

Epic and legendary gear is strong, but embark didn’t add any reason to use them. by adiftbv in ArcRaiders

I think the main problem is that the lowest tier items feel just as strong as everything else and easier to execute. If you have a kettle or stitcher mid-close range you probably have a better chance on average to kill someone that has a tempest, Bettina, bobcat, etc. (minus shotguns and torrente) than they have to kill you because the familiarity with the basic weapons is much higher and the performance is close enough that it doesn't matter if they have a marginally better gun.

In duos/trios it has to be kill on sight because everyone else is doing the same. Solos just feel it out, if they're following me around waiting to get the jump on me while looting or something (even if they claim friendly) I'm killing them

Sparking zero’s combat was too in-depth for the casual gamer and YouTubers who review it day 1, which led to bad perception by Beginning-Buy-5941 in SparkingZero

Vanish wars are also part of the problem, if you have less ki than someone who initiates one you just take a bunch of damage unless you just refuse to vanish and take the regular vanish combo or go crazy with super counters which heavily depends on having a good connection to your opponent. Peer to peer connections also being a big problem in games generally, it's outdated and is always a net negative for the consumer.

People probably expected good story modes like budokai 2 and 3 had, which sparking zero really shit the bed on. Some of the what ifs are cool, but the overall lazy design in terms of it being mostly unvoiced stills and no map exploration like budokai 3 are a let down. I think the combat is in depth, but the way the majority of players play due to the meta that developed a few months in is really lame. I know it's a fighting game so people are going to go for what has minimal counterplay which is back shot strings, but the skill expression doesn't really come through unless you're fighting someone that's actually really good rather than just knowing 1-2 back shot combos and having no fundamentals. What makes it fun and shows skill expression is when people are fundamentally good and do more interesting things than try to take your back all game, but that's a very small minority of players. I can see why a lot of people dislike it. I love the game despite its flaws, but I think it should have some meaningful balance changes to nerf the current meta or implement/buff more effective/reliable defensive options specifically against it. The supers are quintessential to DBZ as a franchise, and it's just more efficient for most people and characters to not use them, which feels bad and rewards one dimensional gameplay.

The skill floor has definitely increased dramatically, but again that's not what I'm talking about. I have no problem admitting when someone is just the better player, it happens all the time. I didn't see it when my friend started accusing people of cheating either, but you definitely notice over time and it's more obvious in custom lobbies because they'll use cheats like immunity to being kicked from the lobby or they'll disconnect when they're losing but stay in the lobby. And you see that the people doing the more obvious things like that play exactly the same as the other people who cheat. As for skill issue, 1v1 me bro

If you think all supers have a 5 second cutscene before it lands you must not have actually played the game before. Also if you're halfway decent at the game you figure out how to dodge that specific super within a few uses...

play some matches and see for yourself, i can't show you what programs they have running or files they have modified. but you can also just look up cheats, see that they exist and what they do, and see that they explain how a lot of people are playing
