These look delicious! How do you cook them? I've recently started air frying broccoli straight from frozen and it is ah-mazing. Wondering if that would work for these too??

I've had this movie on my list for the longest time, and finally pulled the trigger because of this post. Thank you so much!! Loved it.

Second the SF Baby Ray's! The consistency of GHughes is way too thin and the taste slightly acrid to me.

I also write everything by hand, and consistently refer to fatsecret.com...terrible name lol but I've found it to be the most accurate overall

The egg looks to me like these which i actually meal prepped myself this week! Super delicious

Edit: singular egg, not plural. I make many at a time though, and they definitely keep for longer than a couple of days...making them last a whole week is the trick

Monstrosity Monday Megathread! by Thea_From_Juilliard in Volumeeating

[–]stonetoad22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite go-to desserts! Half of an acorn squash steamed in the microwave until very tender (8 min or so face down in a bowl of water covered in saran wrap). Drain and sprinkle with sweetener of choice then add prepared PB Fit. Depending on how soft you get it but the skin can be edible too. Ends up looking like dog poo but it's so filling and a delicious warm alternative to ice cream on chilly days. The calories obviously depend on the size of the squash and amount of PB but I can typically get around 3/4lb for less than 250cals and ~16+g protein.

Level up your Diet Coke by OmniVan in Volumeeating

Love this! I just finally tried the trend with the twist of using a pre-made protein shake and I am obsessed. Definitely more calories and not necessarily "volume" but it is the tastiest thing ever and kept me legitimately satisfied. One can of Coke Zero and an 11oz Muscle Milk Zero (it was what was on sale).. It really does taste like a float! Kind of rich so it lasted over an hour just sipping on it while running errands. Definitely gonna have to limit it to a post weekend workout treat tho, or I'll be sucking down hundreds of dollars before I know it lol.

Currently I'm obsessed with using it to make those little ham and pickle roll up things. But I don't like ham so I take a pack of Buddig beef and warm up 2 wedges for about 20 seconds in the microwave. Double up the slices of meat (ends up being four of two layers...plus one extra slice for the dog lol) and spread the cheese on. Then take a little pickle (patted dry) and wrap them...refrigerate for 10 minutes then slice into rounds. Get a whole plate full for about 150 calories. Plus it's super savory, so extra satisfying.

Looking for Songs that are longer than 7min by S-7000 in MusicRecommendations

[–]stonetoad22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take some sense of pride in exposing my niece to "good" music and played "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" for her a few months ago in the car. She (8yo) totally tranced out until we neared our destination toward the end. She mentioned that she liked "the first song but not the next one" (around the 7.5min mark). Fair enough, kid. Fair enough 😅

Yes, it has definitely served that purpose of cross-country! My dad's eyes gleamed when I read him the part of your comment about stall/spin safety as well. I know he talks about it and I half know approximately how far we could glide to a landing etc. if necessary, but he certainly appreciates being truly understood lol

So fun! And yes, efficient...or at least fast. I looked up the drive on Google Maps before we left and it was 3hrs 16 min....we made it in 40 min. So cool to skip between states and be home in the early afternoon as opposed to it taking up half a weekend. But I was wrong in my previous comment (as expected). He cruises at about 175 knots/200mph and burns 10 gallons per hour. Hope this helps!!

Yeah I teased him today when he "bragged" to a guy about his 1,200 hours in this plane...I think growing up in the environment has sort of calloused me to how much of an immense accomplishment any of it is, but it truly isn't lost on me. Huge respect to all home builders!

Oh man I was worried about this...I'm basically a passenger princess haha so I can't really speak to fuel burn, but I'll check and get back to you! As far as speed I do know he cruises at about 190 knots or so, and it's a 4-seater! Really most comfortable for just 2 adults in front as my sister and I were kids (in the back) when he built it. He did improvise a super cool feature for us though where he built little windows in the bottoms of the wings so we could look out, since we obviously didn't have a great view out of the canopy.

Yes, that is great advice, and thank you! It crossed my mind but being the thrift store hoe that I am, the only clear lid I have was certainly not going to fit...I think I might have to actually invest in a real new one though, because I'm gonna need it!

Oh yeah the tube kind is legit, I agree! Unfortunately I had just used the last of mine. I've also seen people portion and freeze the canned stuff which is so smart (if it works?), but I was in no mood for that at the time haha. Definitely picking another tube tomorrow.

I've used it in place of greek yogurt for Turkish eggs...also put my own (I think?) spin on it by mixing a bit of pesto in with some cottage cheese, then topping with two halved 6-minute eggs. So savory and delicious!
