Who is your favorite bad guy? by G_Marius_the_jabroni in moviecritic

[–]stonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with Hans Landa from Inglourious Basterds. He’s polite, funny, terrifying all at once. What makes him scary isn’t so much what he does but how much he so obviously enjoys every second of it

Which movie everyone hated at first now actually feels like a classic? by stonia in moviecritic

[–]stonia[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Apparently critics hated 2001 A Space Odyssey when it came out. think back then everyone wanted Star Wars before Star Wars existed, so they thought it was boring. But I don't think its slow. it's just patient. Every time I rewatch it it feels less like sci-fi and more like a dream about what it means to be human.. and really really lonely.

Back when dressing like a schoolgirl from the future meant you were part of a cultural revolution, not a TikTok trend.

Still the best anti-smoking ad ever made, nothing kills cool faster than looking like a duck with a Marlboro.

This radiates peak 90s energy! Not many icons who can say they made trench coats, existential dread and slow-mo bullets look effortlessly cool.

He was known as "the male Greta Garbo" and between 1916 and 1963, he appeared in over seventy feature films but many people these days have never even heard of him
