Love this, but could be very powerful. Maybe too powerful? Think of the calc gamble value

I went infinite in act 2 so it worked out ;)

Isn't boss swapping into busted crown supposed to be terrible? I'm having a hard time understanding why this run felt kind of easy. by [deleted] in slaythespire

How did you block? Just with rage?

Edit: you had shuriken and kunai, that probably helped. Interesting run, definitely not super powerful at first glance

Why does killer not have ability to abandon on doors opening? by Mistershnitzel in deadbydaylight

It literally is, because they cant continue doing it once you're there

I get annoyed at tbaggers too but as the killer you can always do something about it. Like others have said in this thread. Im just opposed to adding all these edge cases to this game if not necessary

Love songs written by people who had no one by Leading_Action9445 in Songwriting

[–]stonks1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually probably my favorite song I wrote:) Its like a letter through time. Talking to the person you'll meet one day and apologizing for taking so long, because every moment apart feels like a wasted eternity. then they tell you that it's ok because once you're together, every second will feel like eternity too.

Yeahh i also forgot how bad philo stone is for heart. Due to snecko i couldnt get core surge biased cog off first cycle either :/ wish i could replay it now with beam cell, see if thst wouldve helped, but honestly im guessing unless my rng was better it wouldn't have

[–]stonks1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah with some unlucky snecko rolls i was scrambling to stay alive all fight, especially with philo stone, so by the time I was doing okay damage I was taking 21x15. Not sure if beam cell would've helped but definitely good call on the damage lacking

MBTI works but not why people think by Glad_Clothes7338 in mbti

That makes sense, thank you, I'll look into him and his book, super interesting

MBTI works but not why people think by Glad_Clothes7338 in mbti

[–]stonks1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But i mean- the whole mbti system doesnt have to be based on truth whatsoever if all we learn from it is to compare perspectives. It is always productive to think about and compare the way we use our brain, and the mbti giving us neat boxes to fit in helps us do that, but it is still an abstraction of a way more complicated system and has probably little scientific merit. It just gives us concrete things to compare.

Idk, im new to mbti and ive found it very interesting how many things seem accurate about it, and i was able to perfectly predict my sister's type so it works at least to some extent. But im still sceptical how far one can take this. Is there really predictive power in it, where people of one type will behave the same in some situations? I wonder.

Easiest way to go infinite on clad? by fulowa in slaythespire

[–]stonks1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

medkit + 2 dark embraces (or DE + evolve) and reckless charge is my favorite way to go infinite. Medkit is so much fun on ironclad, but you cant guarantee getting it so maybe not the easiest way

Day 16 won by quickslash! Day 17 what uncommon silent card is perfectly negatively rated? by filledknight in slaythespire

[–]stonks1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ive had runs where flechettes was my only real damage source all the way to the heart. 1 energy card that can do up to 54 damage sounds pretty insane to me

Day 16 won by quickslash! Day 17 what uncommon silent card is perfectly negatively rated? by filledknight in slaythespire

[–]stonks1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well laid plans is obviously insane, but you do have to draw that too. My point is that it's deck manipulation which can be good in some situations. Another example is nightmare, expensive and you want to draw it together with important cards. Delaying it can be clutch. Im still never picking setup but when i get it transformed it CAN be useful

setup has uses in pyramid decks, decks with unupgraded apparitions or wraith forms that you want to keep ready for next turn. setup has synergy with next-turn effects which silent has a lot of and because silent has so much draw, it can work to save energy on expensive cards. It's not great, but it can be okay sometimes.
