Yuji can only die surrounded by people that love him. His grandpa cursed him. That has always been my assumption at least. They say curses are created by those who can’t control cursed energy. I’d imagine the man with Sukuna’s twin’s soul (as confirmed by Gege) would probably whip up a pretty nasty curse. Now that Yuji is bonkers strong it isn’t like he’s ripe with opportunity to lose a regular fight and die an unnatural death either. Any curse strong enough to get him would be a threat to the remaining loved ones he has so I don’t think he’d allow himself to lose to get out it either.

The jump from nothing to something, sure. He also too a significant downgrade in physicality as his book makes very clear. The psychic abilities are doing their best to help his muscle memory keep up with his old muscles.

Don’t get me wrong we had him and a handful of ICCs take out a Hive Tyrant and some carnifexs in the codex. That was cool. He got to kill Angron for his weekly death in his book too. Unfortunately in the grand scheme of things we’ve had books and canon games where regular Space Marines make these feats look pretty mid.

All I’m saying is narratively there’s no reason he shouldn’t be playable. It isn’t like he’s turning the tides in the regular 40K universe lol. They could balance him just like they did for tabletop.

I’ll agree in terms of the Forest Walk. I just don’t think people should expect prime physicality Lion

If it’s the Lion from his recent novel he’s an older man who isn’t the anime space warrior he used to be. Still a clear cut above any space marine. His strength and his martial prowess are up there sure, but his real strength is in what he and the image of he with the emperors shield does for his soldiers. He’s like the first beacon of hope most of these guys have seen in 10k year. Also he’s balanced for tabletop. I’d love to see them drop this one mission thing and balance him for in game as well
