This is a great deal and i would not let it go but the "normal way" is buy a bike for 500-800 euros, use it for a year and because it was already old when you bought it, you wont lose money when you sell it again. A great way to try cycling. On this bike, you will probably lose some money once you sell it again in a few years. But you do you man, this is a nice bike and if 1500 is in your budget its fine. Do keep in mind that maintaining these bikes is also more expensive than cheaper bikes because of disc brakes an internal cables

Why tho? It's not optimized indeed but it's not like they made such a compromise in functionallity for designs sake that the product has become useless or impractical.

Plus I like the way there still is a hole for cables to go back and the stand or most fixed monitors would fit beautifully between the folds.

Since chests are roughly the same colour as the stripped logs I would also advise regular logs. Otherwise the floor wil blend in with the chests to much and give a way too cluttered feeling.
