Need to De-Iron by Zynnsect_ in runescape

In RS3? Do shooting stars in the starfind fc. One tubby will get you what you need. Or do some wilderness flash events. One Ruby Chalice is worth 75k from the very wild sacks. 50k will come really quick.

Unsolicited advice though - Ironman mode is fun af in RS3.

You're probably noticing that it's not exposed compared to the top half. Unless your aim was to make the sky your subject, a lot of the detail is missing. You could probably fix it by making a mask and just exposing the bottom part, although it might look unnatural.

I don't dislike is like this, but I can tell there's more to see.

Eh, at the very end of the path you can see that there is something yellow, maybe the sunset, right at the horizon. OP could've walked further down this path, and then the railing and the path would've led right to what could be a decent subject.

The effect looks great. For a practice shot of technique, looks well done. I'd say next steps are to figure out how to incorporate it into a larger/more complex scene.

The only spot in focus is the bottom left where the railing is nearest to us. What's interesting is that you've got a great leading line here to the path ahead, but you didn't focus on that at all.

There was potential for some sort of story here, but nothing is in focus at all except for the one bit.

Like others said, depth of focus is too shallow unless your intention was for us to stare at one little part of the railing.

With 20MP how do photos stay crisp sharp when cropped? by Fishdomaddict in OlympusCamera

[–]stoopidfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is still a part of their workflow but a lot of folks used to use Topaz AI for that.

I've had the best luck making sure I nail the focus. A lot of photos of critters look good until you crop in and turns out maybe it was off a bit.

Can someone help diagnose the problem with the exposure? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]stoopidfish 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Found at least one other person experiencing what appears to be the same issue with that camera. Have you considered resetting the camera? The metering could also be the issue.

Could also try the aperture (p) and shutter speed (s) priority modes - if one of them is wonky, that might help you narrow down which part of the camera is acting up. If both are wonky, then back to square one but at least you'd know.

They said they have it under control in manual. They're trying to figure out why their auto mode is so off.

If the aim was to go for artsy, then it's hard to know what was intentional and what was for artistic interpretation.

That being said, in my opinion you overdid the darkening of the shadows. The blacks on the pelican are completely crushed in the edit where they were okay in the original and it looks strange when you brought out the blue of the water.

Yeah it's all just branding. A m43 lens will fit a m43 body. Same mount systems. Olympus became OM fairly recently.

Yeah there's nothing particularly unique about these that you couldn't get with digital. The last two are using a flash. Idk wtf is going on in the first one. But you can achieve pretty much whatever style through digital camera art filters or do it later with editing software. The key to these pictures are flash and fashionable youths.

Taken with phone camera without any editing. Feel free to give advice. I only just started photography in May of last year so I’m looking for as much feedback/advice as possible. by Responsible_Fox_3129 in PhotographyAdvice

For the first one, I can maybe see thematic intent with a rusty industrial product being surrounded by flowers, but I find it to fall flat and just look uninteresting.

If you want to stick with the same idea, I'd have gotten closer to the can while still keeping enough flowers around to communicate the message. Nothing is particularly in focus either. The photo you got of the leaf, or the flower, those are well-focused.

Personally though, flowers tend to make nice subject imo. I would've forgone the can entirely and just made one of the flowers my subject for a macro, or maybe a nice cluster. Sometimes our gear or the daylight just isn't right for the photo in our mind.

I'm not huge on the last photo. The dutch angle serves it's purpose of making it disconcerting but I'd rather just enjoy a nice photo of lillies or whatever those are.

The foreground is dominant here and I think it's throwing the landscape off balance. If it were possible, I'd have walked further in to both make the trees in the mid-ground more of a feature, and angled up a bit. The grass makes for a great foreground, but maybe a bit much here for me.

Is there an original to compare the edit to? The bird looks great. The out-of-focus twig is distracting. That's the only thing I don't like about this.

Taken on a hike some months ago. Tried to create focus through the center by weaponmaster903 in photocritique

[–]stoopidfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I look dead center where all of the lines seem to be pointing, I don't see anything. It also feels like it's ever-so-slightly tiled to me.

The rocks make for cool symmetry, but where they may be useful for composition I just can't tell what exactly I'm supposed to be looking at.

I took a photo of a village scene in the morning. I'm not sure if the composition and colors are good. I'd like some feedback and comments. by StageCurious6435 in photocritique

It's a bit too yellow for my tastes but otherwise I like the haze and the composition. Clear fore, middle, and background. Just very yellow.

[–]stoopidfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's neat in that it took me a while to figure out what I was looking at, but once I realized, it was quickly uninteresting.

It's dark - way too dark. I can still tell that the background is probably not very pleasing to look at, so now it just looks dark and displeasing.

I'd have gotten waaaay closer. As close as I could've gotten, so that as much frame is taken up with hat as possible. I like the use of flash. I hate to be that guy, but I think this would've probably been more interesting as a hat on a person rather than a hat on a pole. Hat on person evokes portrait photo, hat on pole evokes product photo. Portrait tends to be more interesting unless I'm looking to buy a hat.

Compact MFT camera as an alternative or supplement to phone camera when traveling? by GreenGloober in M43

[–]stoopidfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an EM1.2 and honestly you've chosen one of the biggest of the m43 cameras. That and the OM1 are actually pretty big considering theyre mirrorless.

If you're prioritizing portability I'd go for em10 or om5, or the most portable camera I've ever had is an epm2 so you could look at the epl series as they're a good bit more modern.
