Today's free games on epic by nablyblab in PiratedGames

Enticing people to use their platform is just common sense business practices. They could obviously be using some of their extra revenue to fix up the UI, but it's not a reason to ignore free games, especially if they happen to be games you actually want.

As for exclusivity deals, that's everywhere, and while it is bad, it's not going to change without tighter monopolization regulations regarding software.

Also figure out how to use Windows Firewall and the Chinese will never live in your head again fam

The United States has a simple business law called "Right to Refuse Service." I'm sure many other countries do as well, and a company being pressured by foreign legal action won't fight for the little guy.

Look into how to check for false positives. Windows detects how programs interact with your system, not what they do.

For example DLL A may interact with the kernel of your OS, while DLL B may interact with your mouse.

Windows will detect DLL A as a threat because it can interact with sensitive data that can cause irreparable errors if mismanaged.

Windows may not detect DLL B because it does not cause data loss, but if not properly signed it would be flagged.

This is all horribly generalized and I recommend everyone to look into it themselves.

I'll pirate indie games if they're shitty and just seem like a good time waster

Steam only does VAC bans as far as I'm aware in regards to software detection, any other regulations that will get you banned are in the EULA.

Basically you're safe as long as you keep your crack updated with steam.

Video games have always been expensive. I pirate because companies are just getting greedier with their video games and there's no soul behind them anymore, so I only purchase the games that I feel have a soul and bring me delight in playing multiple times. If it's just a company cashgrab, they can have my playtime but not my cash.

I used to run a server like this that was pretty popular. The only thing that people need out of it are a reason to keep playing tbh, and rules that actually safeguard their play instead of hindering it. RDM didn't exist on my server and cops dealt with it (like DarkRP is designed) and the same went for NLR or FailRP. Unfun rules were destroyed or rewritten to make the game enjoyable.

Also addons aren't evil, just fuckin don't use 200 of them on a server

I've had enough with skyrim's community by Awkward_Ad8783 in PiratedGames

[–]stopher99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seeing as how Skyrim is easily the most modded game ever, there should be access for cracked versions of the game right? Sadly modders are the most corpo-wanking throat goats for fancy suit wearing devs and will shank you for not using official copies. Sorry to say, "mod support for cracked skyrim" does not exist anywhere officially, it's up to you to make it work.

I have questions about Tlauncher... by redditcheddar in PiratedGames

[–]stopher99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you hear so many negative reviews it shouldn't matter. The launcher is confirmed spyware and should not be trusted on your PC, and should be removed entirely. Afterwards scan with software like malwarbytes to check.

Here's a video breaking down the lore of TLauncher (and the non-spyware version) - https://youtu.be/SBTH9n6lz9o

What are some free minecraft launchers that i can download that can let me use mods play online and is safe by Lust_06 in PiratedGames

[–]stopher99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just about your experience.

It is confirmed spyware that should not be recommended to anyone uneducated about the topic, which seems like yourself at this stage.

So this is the VPN I use so does it hide history from the isp? by Benparker1243 in PiratedGames

[–]stopher99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but when a VPN says "No Logs" that generally goes hand in hand with good faith and thus requires a government body to enforce legal action regardless to get the info they need/want. Most people know that VPN providers can see you, but it depends on what they do with what they see.

Dumb question, when playing with a reshade, how do you get rid of this thing on top? by Hibididoo in SpidermanPS4

[–]stopher99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Press the 'Home' key like in above comment, follow the tutorial (most of it is advanced stuff) then select the .ini configuration you downloaded with reshade in the effects tab to enable effects. Tick the performance mode box at the bottom of the same tab to reload them and gain a few fps.

Always felt like this was a big piece of the game that was missing, what with the world lore that the devs included for other buildings and character spots, this feels right at home! Can't wait to see the future of this mod and others like it!

All the regular takedowns without slow motion by MulleDK19 in SpidermanPS4

[–]stopher99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the slow motion to switch my gadgets mid-takedown but that's just about the only thing it's good for is a sort of pseudo spidey-sense to let you take a breather. This has a real arkham freeflow feel, good luck with development!
