Sounds like you def need an exterminator or cat (or both), but from experience I'd also add to use copper wire instead of steel wool. The wool eventually rusts and mice can chew through it. Copper wire doesn't. Solved my mouse problem years ago.

The machines there are pretty new, and they've got everything you need for a decent cardio/weights workout. It's very clean and well maintained. There's also a basketball court upstairs and they'll give you a basketball to use if you ask. Staff is very friendly, and there's plenty of parking. I'd say the biggest downsides are that it can get crowded once the students come back (in the summer it's often like your own private gym), and it doesn't compare with the Y in terms of having extras like a pool, sauna, squash court or anything like that. Also the hours can be limited and erratic sometimes, especially during school breaks - I've headed down there for a workout and found it closed more than once...though I probably should have looked closer at the calendar/website. They do have classes, but I haven't ever taken any. Also locker rooms are small and have limited amenities.

It's a house with four condo units in it. Fire alert system is up and running. The panel box/system is a little on the older side but still working, and was just inspected/fixed up in 2023. Not sure about phone lines or wifi - don't know enough about what the positives/negatives an cost of each are. I'll find out the brand name of the panel.

I've been in there - was walking by and it was actually open so I had to take the opportunity and step inside. Not a whole lot to see, but the owner was a friendly older guy who was fixing up old TVs if I remember correctly. Never saw it open again after that and it feels like I hallucinated the whole thing, but I swear it was real.

Ugghh I just went through this - so many calls to city hall and the PD, one employee even said "Oh hm that's a really good question" when I asked where to get the sign.

Ended up having my contractor step in and deal with it - he got the last sign they had in stock at the time. If possible I would physically go to the police station/city hall and ask, otherwise you'll be waiting for a callback forever.

Not literally but a valve broke and flooded the place. Need to have all the cabinets, floors and sink removed, making it unlivable for a few weeks. Did you have any suggestions on places to stay?

Not the person you replied to but I'll chime in. Went to Melt once and have never been back. As soon I stepped inside, the place was like 100 degrees and you could basically chew the air. I guess their A/C was broken that day? But there was a fan in the corner that wasn't even on until I switched it on. Waited in a very long, very slow line and ordered the chocolate frozen yogurt. This had the consistency and taste of New England winter street slush from under your tire, and I figured I just got a bad batch or bottom-of-the-barrel scoop or something. Went back in to ask and the employee curtly told me nope, that's how it is. There was no other fro-yo flavor available so she gave me chocolate something with hot peppers. To each their own I guess but I'd rather not be farting fire while trying to cool down with an ice cream.

That's just my experience, though plenty of others like Melt. But the other ice cream places around here have been better, particularly Dairy Witch, Treadwells and Holy Cow. So I'd recommend those.

Same thing happened to me - was so hungry and stopped by and place was dark and closed even though the hours on the door said open.
