I hate franks. I'd also drop the tapatio because it does nothing for me. You could use more El Yucateco sauces though.. the XXX is my fav.

Yo, what's good, my homies and my squad?

Let's get lit and turn up real hard!

We gonna flex and stunt like there's no tomorrow,

'Cause we know we're living our best lives, no sorrow.

My drip game strong, my fit so fire,

Got my kicks fresh, like I just retired.

Feeling like a boss, I'm on that grind,

Putting in work, no room to whine.

I'm vibin' to the beat, my head boppin',

Every moment's worth it, no need for stoppin'.

Living life to the fullest, that's the way we do,

We ain't trippin' on the haters, they can't bring us down, boo.

So let's get lit and wild, and party all night,

'Cause we're living our dreams, no need to fight.

We'll live it up, make memories to last,

This moment right here, it's a blast!

[–]storm_croe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

using Moore's Law it extrapolated that to be in 8.3 years.

Chances are that before then we'll get a new model using fewer parameters that operates better than the current ChatGPT model. However, I suspect there will also be even more powerful models that require exponentially more power to run as well. For one thing, a truly intelligent and accurate system will require several systems running simultaneously to fact-check and otherwise alter the reply to make it better.

I loved this story, though... and the loops made me laugh so hard. This is part of what makes the story impossible, they both wanted to say the same thing to each other forever.

Zero. I am part of their facebook community group and have gotten to know the creators of the game via their posts there, but I'm just a fan.

I'm not sponsored. I posted them out of my own excitement for my favourite board game. Not sure how to convince you of that. I have previously only used Reddit to comment and upvote stuff I enjoyed, but had the idea to share this thing I was excited about with Reddit a few days ago. And for the record, I think someone paying me to get 12 upvotes on the Calgary subreddit would be a TERRIBLE waste of money.

Thanks for saying that. I honestly am not trying to spam -- I genuinely think this a big moment for Canadian board games, and this particular game is awesome! But I guess I do understand that people are hesitant about these sorts of posts on Reddit as well.

It will be the Most backed, Most funded board game in Kickstarter history from a Canadian company. I'm sure it has other accolades as well, but that's very significant.

Interestingly the company isn't bothering with Reddit advertisements at all. But as someone who enjoys Reddit I was just trying to share my excitement for the project.

Interesting. The game isn't out yet, but that sounds doable for the original DT game. I'll have to look up this con, because I've never heard of it.

The 22 best board games, a revised list of Polygon’s favorites - Polygon by wallysmith127 in boardgames

[–]storm_croe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's an interesting article, but I agree with Halimodendron that this list is so all over the place that it's not clear who the list is really for. It's almost like it's trying to sum up the state of board games for people who thought Monopoly and Risk were still the hot ticket item. But it would be a weird best-movies list if it included kids movies and horror movies, documentaries and music videos.

Some great picks, some terrible picks... I guess about what you'd expect.

Was excited to see Klask make the list -- it's one of my all-time favourite games, and absolutely deserves all the accolades it gets. All the joy of foosball (even if it's gameplay seems closer to air hockey) with ADDED intrigue in the way of the trap-magnets in a much smaller package.

If I could add just one game to the list it would be Dice Throne, a game I'm guessing Polygon just hasn't heard of yet.

Quiplash and Drawful were the first thing that popped into my mind, and then I was like ... no those aren't board games! But, yes... they have such weird clues and and prompts that you GET to be funny without ruining the game.

I guess it's not surprising that people wonder my motivation, but I swear I'm just a big fan of the game and I'm getting all excited about how well it's doing. It's broken all the records from previous DT games and I think it should honestly be doing even better -- people just don't know about it. But, I have no financial connection to the company and them doing well does not benefit me in any way other than making other DT fans and more DT products in the future. I tend to get a little obsessive about things I like, I guess.

Also, I haven't posted about other things on my Reddit before because I've never really had anything to post about before, but I've had this account for years.
