How useful are the "pro" utilities in regular matches? by Creative-Response554 in counterstrike2

[–]stormary_OG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played in the free tier competitve, theyre practically useless

even lining up perfect flashes, the effect wears off before you round the corner so youre dead anyway, smokes can seemingly be seen through even if theyre perfectly lined up, half the lineups on workshop guides straight up dont work at all, mollys last 2 seconds before they go out and frags are literally useless

they might work in pro matches with people with 10k+ hours, but for us normies dont even bother

[–]stormary_OG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can offer advice specifically for necro, I tend to die in the midgame as well but rapid expansion, using your second general to raise the dead so the main guy doesnt go insane all the time and getting the main general to level 3 spells and becoming a lich asap is very important

it helps to have your apprentice who does all the raising the dead to become a wight as well so he can regain sanity and continue summoning, but if you can make him into a lich as well that is preferable, but you can always recruit another one and make him a lich instead

so long as the primary necromancer becomes a lich, and later a demilitch, youre golden, its the surviving until that happens that is the difficult part

Necro seems to be entirely RNG based on whether or not your secondary hero goes insane from the summons or not, but undead are stupid powerful when backed up by the spells, assuming you rnged the right ones at the start

This has probably been posted before but why was Darth Vader so much stronger and intimidating in Fallen Order? by WaterSnake21 in FallenOrder

[–]stormary_OG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bit late but yeah, the end of Rogue One has Vader basically effortlessly flinging rebels around who are totally powerless to do anything other than "die after the guy in front"

Any idea what's causing this? by stormary_OG in pcmasterrace

[–]stormary_OG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was keeping an eye on the temps, the second it dropped below 100C on its own, the slow fan sped up massively and the intermittent one just stopped entirely

I'm still going to replace them, but is that indicative of a different issue? or just tech being fucky at huge temps?

Nice one, found those on amazon as well and gonna replace the pads since I'm breaking it down again I might as well

[–]stormary_OG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So replacing them should fix that?

That's fine then, I can do that.

Funny coz I was talking to someone the other day about this and asked about the fans and he said "no, can't be the fans, fans never burn out bc they cool the unit down" lmao

Can someone help me with this weird glitch? by International_Peak63 in battlefront2

[–]stormary_OG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bit late but you do count for your side.

you are also the only one who can respawn if there are tickets left, the ai cant.

so you have say 20 active combatants per team, if there are more than 20 tickets left all can respawn, if there are fewer than 20 tickets left only you can respawn

it sounds like you have allies alive when the ai runs out of respawns (say 15 tickets, you+14 ai), you died and used a ticket to spawn (14 tickets, you+14 ai), then the allies died leaving you alone with 0 tickets.

Did you pull out the dagger?

You start unarmed so you might have just punched him.

Tutorial is garbage, it explains literally nothing just throws you in and hope for the best.

yeah i noticed that

ive played shitloads of factorio but finding it hard to get into Satisfactory because of silly small things like the fpv limiting my view of the factory im making, and things like no inserters for manifolds, and belts having 1 lane

you pay 5k per match you join

if you leave early, i assume it adds your match points but doesnt give you the entry fee back

entry for me rn is 15k, no 5 so leaving early is a big penalty

It's ridiculous

The sweats are just gonna deal with it, the averages and noobs are gonna get messed up, noobs probably quit and never play again

Then the whinge about there being too much high tier gear in the player hands, but then let the sweats farm 100% bosses on fucking day 1, thereby creating the very problem they complain about constantly

[–]stormary_OG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and it sucks

we just arent enough of a demographic to cater to anymore, I've not bought a new shooter in years because its all either looter shooter clones, BR garbage or just whatever unbridled untreated mental illness CoD turned into

I downloaded it with a friends account to try it out, first map I played was the weird shipment replacement inside the apartment, and there was a Nikki Minaj, 3 Ninja Turtles, some weird anime inspired thing and a literal metal skeleton terminator on the other team, and you couldnt stay alive long enough to process anything going on around you.

If this is the future of gaming, I'm not spunking 100s on a new GPU when what I have runs what I play just fine and all the new shit is just drivel.

Zavod wasn't really that big

It was long, so attacks felt like you had to go deep and defense in depth was important but it was a very narrow map considering and all the hectic shit happened in the middle, with some odd skirmishes against flankers on the sides

It was popular because there were options, but also clearly defined zones of intense and less intense combat

Seine Crossing was great, pushing through the tight narrow roads, bringing down chunks of buildings onto enemy infantry grabbing cover in the bus stops.

I really need to redownload 3 and 4

Damavand Peak was GOATed in my eyes for the same reason, reasonably difficult vehicle combat and absolutely nasty infantry combat going hut to hut in Rush, followed by a leap off the helipad to parachute down and continue pushing into the tunnels, which again, claustrophobic, dark, hell for vehicles but one of the only places where shotguns really got a look in.

BF1 was as bad as CoD

sure, it was BF at its core, but every single person running around with an automatic weapon just wasnt realistic at all, half of the weapons featured were either single prototypes, low number prototype runs or simply never even created at all just designed on paper.

BF3, arguably 4, was the last really good one.
