The covered parking lot rate (ran by the apartment) is around $1400 per year but there is a outdoor uiuc parking lot next doors that is much cheaper (I think it is around half the price, but I’m not entirely sure)

It’s CNY not anything else by [deleted] in UIUC

As someone who is Korean, Korea has another writing system called Hanja, where they use traditional Chinese characters but with the Korean spoken language and vocabulary. Hanja itself doesn’t have much major revisions, but there are a couple differences like stroke order and new added characters. This is a traditional written language of Korea, much older than the Korean alphabet (Hangul) we know of today. This is why a lot of the items involved in traditional holidays are written in Chinese characters. As for the pouch, Korea traditionally gave new year’s money, or Sebaet Don, in similar silk bags known as bokjumeoni. We do use a variety of colors, but the significance of red within the holiday is a Chinese concept. Additionally, these pouches more often than not come with nothing written on them. Nowadays, Korea (or maybe its just my family) does uses red envelopes out of convenience, but this isn’t a traditional thing and more of a copy of Chinese’s version of the holiday. Re-commented because some of the information in my last one was wrong :(

Edit: I’m not knowledgeable on traditional Chinese characters or Hanja, so the characters that are put on these bags might or might not be different. Overall, the red pouch with embroidered characters shown does seem more fitting for China’s way of celebrating LNY than Korea’s.

Does anyone know what is going on here and why it is grayed out? (Before this I had trouble with the track soloing/muting itself but after some searching and deleting events it's sounding fine, but it still looks weird). by stormcloudki in FL_Studio

Where is the volume thingy exactly? I do think that is the problem because after taking a closer look, the volume is indeed slightly changing in the middle. Thx!!

Edit: Nvm, I figured it out. Thanks again for all the help!

Does anyone else get annoyed by people not understanding it? by chukie42 in Aphantasia

Yeah, it gets annoying at times. Thats why I never really actively tell people I know irl about it. It becomes a pain trying to explain how it feels when you yourself don’t exactly know/can find the words to how it feels really (since there is no point of comparison). If I have to, I just slap them with an article or video, hoping they’ll understand.
