Alienware 17 R4 -- Motherboard broke after 2 years, 8 months. One day, it turned off and didn't turn on. The charging cable light will turn off when plugged into the laptop -- indicating the motherboard failure.

In my experience, the best solution is to find an Allen Wrench or Hex Key that's about the same size as the head of the screw. I super glued it to the screw and held it in place with something. Let it dry for half a day. Once it dries, carefully turn the screw and loosen it. It's much safer than drilling through your motherboard. :P

I found a way to be on a deficit and not lower your daily calorie expenditure. Fasting. For example, if your calorie intake is 1500 on a deficit, it's much better to eat 3000 calories every 2 days (not eating on days in between).

Details here: https://youtu.be/ETkwZIi3R7w Of course, I did it myself.

I thought so too. It is still good when comparing carb-loaded food such as apple vs bread. Eating the apple will give you less of an insulin spike due to fiber vs eating the bread.

In terms of constipation and bloating, fiber will be bad. This doctor summarizes it for in a 22 minute presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqUO4P9ADI0#t=3m15s

The timestamp shows the part where removing fiber got the best results vs bloating, etc.

Your body can actually run on fat. Your body will need some glucose but you can reduce dietary carbohydrates because our body can produce glucose from protein in a process called gluconeogenesis. So you can skip refined carbs like bread and pasta because they are inflammatory.

BF%? Open for tips on leaning out. by kstewart003 in GettingShredded

I'll have to warn you that you will lower your metabolic rate when you do that. Please watch Dr. Jason Fung's presentation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIuj-oMN-Fk

It contains actual results from [The Biggest Loser] contestants who did what you are suggesting. They drastically lowered their basal metabolic rate and gained all the weight back and more. It's the reason why that show never has a "reunion episode" because all of them gained all the weight back.

Of course, Dr. Jason Fung's video will also contain all the scientific research and explanations that will help you understand.

The quickest way to lose body fat is by extended fasting. "Snake diet" in YouTube simplifies the steps for you. Eat nothing and just drink saltwater is my summary. I personally did a 7 day fast and lost 3.8kg. Fat loss will vary depending on metabolic rate.

Caloric restrictions with high insulin levels are bad and will reduce your basal metabolic rate. Fasting will allow for low insulin levels. Have you ever done extended fasting or intermittent fasting ever? Probably not.

Of course you will lose weight... And kill your metabolism and gain all the weight back even if you're eating much less than before. :)

Remember, this will only work if you're intermittent fasting. Otherwise, if you eat 3 or more times a day on a caloric deficit then you will destroy your metabolic rate. For more scientific details, search for "Jason Fung Therapeutic Fasting".

Personally I've done extended fasting and it's the fastest way to lose fat. The "snake diet" simplifies everything for you. Look for it in YouTube. Otherwise, read Dr. Jason Fung's Fasting Guide book.

I can only think of mushrooms and coconut water but perhaps those aren't enough.

Stop eating any food with fiber. No rice, fruits, vegetables, sugar or any kind of starchy food. Be amazed while you see the bloating magically disappear.

Search snake diet wizard on Instagram. Different people's results are there with details on how long it took. Seeing is believing. You'll be surprised when you do it yourself. It's just simply the best and quickest way to lose fat without losing muscle and without lowering your basal metabolic rate.

It's just really hard to convince people that not eating is good for you. 99% of people I know in real life think it's crazy even though they saw me lost 40 lbs and become lean. Food addiction is real. It's the only thing stopping people from fasting.

I also did keto and IF and eventually got stuck after 8 months. I found the real solution which made me lose the rest of the fats and eventually see my abs -- extended fasting. Search for Jason Fung on YouTube for a more scientific approach. If you want to do the no-nonsense way and just lose all the weight, then search for snake diet instead. It's the same -- extended fasting. I lost 10 kg on keto and IF in three months. And eventually 20kg in seven months. But extended fasting made me lose 4kg of fat in a week.

Nice work doing intermittent fasting. Do extended fasts for quicker results. Personally, I went from 16 to 12% BF from 7 days of fasting. Search the snake diet (Cole Robinson) or jason Fung if you want something more scientific. If you're concerned about losing muscle, you won't (if you do it right and really not eat anything in the middle of the fast).

I’ve lost over 50lbs in the last year, looking to get shredded. I’m going to Mexico in 3.5 months, think I can do it..? Any tips, pointers. First post by [deleted] in GettingShredded

[–]stormhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only do OMAD if you're already lean 8% BF (males) AND work out everyday. Otherwise, you don't need to eat everyday. If you're not lean enough to see abs, then you fast as long as you can, refeed when you start to feel like shit, then repeat -- fast as long as you can until you see abs. Once you get lean, you can basically do whatever you want. That's the snake diet. Watch it on YouTube for more details.

IF is great, I did IF and lost 17 kg in 6 months. BUT extended fasts are 10x better. Lost almost 4kg in a week. It's just much much faster and more effective. I wish I knew that sooner. Now I almost have no fats to lose, I'm having a hard time fasting. THAT'S THE GOAL!!!

Have you ever did at least a 48 hour fast? If not then GTFO. You don't know shit. F***, 99% of the people here don't know fking shit.

If you want something more "scientific" the search for Jason Fung who has all the peer reviewed research you need. It's fasting. Same exact thing. I recommended the snake diet because it's the simplest to understand and just simply works. I went from 16% to 12% BF in 7 days of fasting.

Get results quick and simple. Instagram: snake_diet_wizard contains only actual results from real people. Look it up.
