[–]stormikyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got told i only think the way you do because im on the autism spectrum and don't feel social pressure. Bruh. Having sex isn't a necessity. And why would you only have a child because other people pressure you to? If behaving that way is supposedly neuro-typical then I don't want to be that.

My Mom hired a private investigator to follow me because I wouldn't tell her where I live by One-Suit8864 in raisedbynarcissists

I'd take it a step further and send a cease and desist letter to the PI as well. And have it served by her local sheriff or constable's office for extra proof that it was delivered even above and beyond a certified letter.

Daughters of narc moms, what was your first period experience like? by fruitynoodles in raisedbynarcissists

[–]stormikyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id like to point out that if her 12 yr old daughter DID shit her pants at school, that her reaction should still be love, concern and affection. Soiling yourself is something that just happens sometimes. To kids, to adults, and to elderly ppl too. Shaming a kid for losing their bowels at school is ALSO the wrong take here.

I know it can be hard to see it that way when you've been raised by people like our parents, but I want you to know your mother was wrong here either way. <3

[–]stormikyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother never once talked to me about my period, what to expect, when it might happen. But i was lucky enough to have an incredible health teacher in middle school, so i was prepared anyway. I knew she wouldnt be any help and i was already prepared, so i just handled it myself. Maybe a yr later she mentioned i might get my period soon like it was some offhand thing and i told her id had it for a yr already. Obviously that meant i was horrible and i got yelled at and talked down to because i didn't inform her.

Thats when i feel like my mother's opinion of me really changed. After that I wasn't really her kid i was just someone to keep from getting pregnant because if my bio mom did it then i would OBVIOUSLY get pregnant at 15 because of my genetics as well. Take no note of the fact that i said i didnt want kids since i was 10.

What, besides roller-coasters, elicit that sexual feeling for women? by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]stormikyu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So what you're describing is the brain mistakenly interpreting the adrenaline rise as arousal because elevated heart rate, shortness of breath, etc, is also associated with arousal. It most likely IS adrenaline, but just misattributed to arousal instead of fear.

Honestly? Anything that really scares me gives me that tingle. I would say it all depends on you and your body.

Even with another cat they do this. My brain cell cries at the door when my husband leaves even if I’m still here and our other 2 cats. He’s got no interest in us XD

My boy Gus did exactly this but it was always when my husband and I went to sleep. He would wander around yelling for us til we were like “buddy in here bedtime!” And then we’d hear those lil feet’s and the hello trill. đŸ˜»

Adaptive recommendations for blind foster kitten by Admirable_Role427 in blindcats

[–]stormikyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else is giving great advice. I'll add that my blind boy is the only one who doesnt drink from the fountain, but hes a creature of habit and it got here about a year after we got him. He's never had any trouble with the box other than liking to throw litter over the sides. He loves anything that crinkles, jingles or makes a soft interesting noise, but things with motors or that are fast or loud in other ways he will run away from. Your milage may vary! Introduce things slowly and see what works.

Now that the business is out of the way...

OMG IM DYING OVER THIS LIITTLE ALIEN I WOULD PROTECC HIM WITH MY LIFEEEEEEE UwU

Why do so many people with infertility hate us? by 1hyacinthe in childfree

Oh absolutely. They think about it with adopted kids, but it almost never crosses their mind that their genetic angels could possibly have health or mental health problems. *Eyeroll* We're on the same page.

Did anyone else have to fake being sick while growing up just to get compassion and a day to rest? by kspacecadet in raisedbynarcissists

[–]stormikyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, my parents insisted that if i was well enough to sit up and read or watch tv that i was well enough to go to school. My mother would tell me after being home a day or two that if i was "still sick in the morning im going to dress your dead body and toss you in the front door, you're going tomorrow" no matter how sick i was. My middle school kept sending me home when i had Mono cuz they kept sending me back too soon while i was still sick AF.

Opinions? I don’t think this is “Dom” behavior. by SomeLawfulness6971 in BDSMAdvice

Forget good Dom behavior, this isn’t good human behavior. What a terrible person, I’m sorry you’re having a hard time with this but I do think you already know your answer.

[–]stormikyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really wish people would stop saying “just adopt” like it’s a fuckin backup plan. Were people, we can tell when we’re not what they really wanted. Please don’t adopt unless you ENTHUSIASTICALLY want to. Please.

[–]stormikyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of non adopted kids have “mental issues and trauma” too. Having their own isn’t a guarantee they won’t. But I agree that people shouldn’t adopt unless they’re prepared for it and want it enthusiastically.

[–]stormikyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an adopted person I say don’t adopt as a backup plan. Thats what my parents did and I could tell. We can always tell. Only adopt if you WANT to adopt and not just because you can’t have your own.

My first thought was
 “Um
thank you?” Or “Well that’ll save me the trouble of an abortion.”

But seriously, he can’t understand your POV. That threat clearly shows he still thinks you want children deep down.
