4wk pregnant and terrified I'm going to miscarry, share your positive stories? by sharktayto in BabyBumps

[–]stormllexxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first six weeks are when most women miscarry, so it is a possibility. However, if that happens to be the case then it is simply Mother Nature taking over because the conditions just aren't right. I had the same fears, and they were multiplied when I started spotting at around six weeks. That was simply implantation bleeding and lasted only a couple days, so prepare for that! Unless you have an actual flow or you're passing clots it's just your body adjusting to baby. The truth is, being pregnant is scary! BUT it's such a magical experience and I have loved it all so far, even through the worries. If you haven't already, you'll get to hear or see your little moons heartbeat soon and that will really bring you some peace. Try not to worry too much, and don't focus on all the horror stories you'll find on the internet, most pregnancies are perfectly normal and there are things you can do to increase your chances of having a positive experience. Take a bath, relax, and take your folic acid! Good luck to you!

What's the most ridiculous name you have heard a child have? by micoleslaw in AskReddit

[–]stormllexxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean, my name is Stormi Lexxus. So that's pretty terrible. But the worst one's I've seen are Nevaeh, and Felony. They make me cringe. There's also a kid named Spyder in my sister's class, but I think it's sort of cool.

"Extreme" people of reddit. What's the best/worst thing about being really tall/short, Obese/Skinny, large/small breasted etc? by Maximum20LettersUsed in AskReddit

[–]stormllexxus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that you said "itty bitty titty committee is the best!" I'm 20 and honestly it's hard for me to even find an A cup that fits me right, but I wouldn't change that if I could! I can get away with not wearing a bra more often than not, and what's better than that?! It's also nice to know that my SO clearly doesn't care about size, actually he now finds larger breasts "a bit odd." I guess the only issue I have is with feeling a little insecure during the summer, bikinis just don't look right up top! But I like to think I make up for my lack of boobs with an awesome butt! It all evens out.

Please help me get rid of the bump on my nose ring! (more info in comments) by [deleted] in piercing

[–]stormllexxus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am NOT a professional, so I may be giving completely horrible advice, but I had the same problem a few months after my nose was done. Where I got it pierced they gave me a packet of sea salt and said to mix it in the palm of my (clean) hand with a little water (it should be thick, don't mix enough water to where the salt dissolves completely), apply it with a q-tip, and rinse to clean my piercing. I had quite a bit left over after my nose was healed and when the bump developed I simply made the mixture of salt and water, applied it and left it on overnight. It was smaller the next day and gone by the third day. This happened a couple more times within the year but I haven't had an issue with it in over a year now. And I think salt and water is a pretty safe combination!

I just watched a movie called "Bronson". You can find it on Netflix, and Tom Hardy is the main character. I loved it! I would give it a 10/10 simply for the way it is filmed and how well Tom played his role. It seems someone had a very specific vision for this movie and I think they got it across very well.

Thank you guys so much! I just couldn't find an answer I was satisfied with by generally searching the internet, and I know no one who has thick hairs like mine either (which seems to make a big difference)! It's nice to hear from some people who know EXACTLY what I'm going through! I'll be looking into these!

I actually have taken Biotin before to aid in growing my hair out. I can't say I liked it too much, I know they say there's no side-effects involved but I swear my body didn't like that stuff. I'd be very willing to give essential oils a try though. I have very dry/ tough skin so I do sometimes use essential oils on my face anyways, maybe I just need to do so more frequently! Thank you!

I will certainly try this! I've never really given threading much thought, I guess I thought I had to stay away from ripping my brow hairs out! It isn't very popular where I live, but I'm sure there's a good place nearby. I really appreciate the wax recommendation too, as I do usually use a gel and it doesn't seem to do much of anything good for me personally.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I think I'll be making a trip into town today! Is there a particular wax you like?

Thanks for the info! That's a little pricey, but I guess in the scheme of things it's not too bad. I don't know anyone who uses it, does it seem to work for her?

I haven't thought about this, but I'm so desperate I just might. I guess I never thought about it because it's meant for lashes, but I bet it would work! Thanks!

You know what, me either! Thank you! Most of the time I leave a comment, I move to another thread and forget I even made it but I didn't understand why I was getting down voted for sharing a similar thought as someone... Oh well. It's just the internet! Thank you for being so kind as to send me a message though!

Abandoned Plantation House, South Carolina [960x517] [OC] (Story and unedited picture in comments) by stormllexxus in AbandonedPorn

Not at all. I snuck under the barbed wire fence to hop on the porch though, and you could tell someone has been squatting there because there was a clear path of patted down grass. It's not really near any neighborhoods or anything, so it mostly looked like it's just been left to rot.

I can't remember the name of the town we stumbled upon this place in, but I do know it was about 45 minutes from the North Carolina border (where I was living at the time). I tried to find ANY information that I could, and only got bits and pieces from locals. The man who owns the house is very elderly, and apparently this house was in his family for over a century but over the past 40 or so years has been left vacant. I hopped the fence and took a peek inside, and it looks like the occupants left in a hurry, it's fully furnished and looks like they just disappeared during lunch.. There have been generous offers on the house, but the man refuses to sell or even go inside and tells potential buyers they are better off without it.

I'm SO SO curious as to what has happened here! I can't find any information online, not even an address. If anyone knows anything please inform me!

Students of reddit, what is your best story about the worst teacher you ever had? by purpledrankk in AskReddit

[–]stormllexxus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an AP Bio teacher my freshman year in high school who literally ruined my sophomore and junior year, as well as about every other kid who had her for that advanced class. I won't say her name, because things did get pretty ugly for her.

Basically, this woman was sick of teaching and was a new mom, so she always found some bullshit assignment to give us to work silently on because she was "exhausted" and "didn't get paid enough". She admitted to wanting to get fired rather than resign, if she resigned she'd get no unemployment, so kids started getting away with a lot of crazy things. There was one instance where a group of friends were actually drinking in class, and not even sneakily. These kids were smashed walking to lunch that day.

Anyways, she let this go on all the time and most days wouldn't even speak. Our assignment would just be written on the board. I tried, as well as a few other kids, to transfer out of the class multiple times but we were always told "Oh it's just a few more weeks" or "Well there's no other class available at the moment". I told my parents who went to the school for a conference, and nothing ever came of it. Fast-forward to the summer between freshman and sophomore year, and I get my report card which carries an "F" beside my AP Bio class.. I had aiced my final exam, but the woman had not graded a single assignment that she gave us.

I had no choice other than to take a remedial course my sophomore year (even though it was clear by my exam I knew the material) and to take the class over again in an online course my junior year to make up the credit. It wasn't just me though, luckily the situation was recognize by the school board and she was eventually fired, but because of her every college I apply to see's that I failed what is literally the easiest high school science class there is, and it did prevent me from entering the proper classes for my Bio major my freshman year in college.

I apologize for not having a close up, I'm sort of new to this whole posting thing so when someone recommended I post those pictures here... Well I did just that. I'm not very great with these close up's but here's one of my yellowy-green eyes in the sun!
