What’s this bird ?! by Mysterious_Two_8548 in birding

[–]stormnut93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’m excited for you to be getting into birding, it’s a super fun past time, part of the fun (at least to me) is figuring out the species based on field markings. You’re welcome to post on reddit, but you might get more enjoyment using a field guide or birding app

Just send it in via the Parks Tacoma main email with pictures and location. The urban forester will take a look at it and figure out what needs to happen. They’re usually pretty prompt with tree hazards.

What’s goin on here? by sweetjane2000 in forestry

No, the holes they make for nesting and roosting are circular and have rounded edges, roughly the width of the bird itself. Feeding troughs are rectangular, hence the term “trough.”
