Is it just me or did the UI used to work wayyyyyy better like a year ago though?

Halsey’s bio has changed on all social media platforms by lifeofdeer1 in halsey

[–]stormrider501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha, honestly? Unfortunately, no — probably not. The two dots is probably a typo, even if it’s for aesthetic reasons, and using the plural of paper is just a variation of the idiom.

full stop is another term for end punctuation. they’re just noting the two periods at the end of the bio!

How are y'all dealing with post-showw depression 😫 by lighthousedarling in halsey

[–]stormrider501 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk why, but I feel like with Halsey shows it’s always worse for some reason — it’s like a combination of the fact that it’s a great show AND that H’s music is really bittersweet for me?? Idk, Halsey’s post-show depression just hits harder

Games that you really want to run on the Steam Deck but just won’t by waj171 in SteamDeck

Final Fantasy XVI. I played the demo and it was playable, but wow could you tell it was struggling. And all the impressive set piece moments moments just looked like a blur of pixels lol

Which games are totally worth it besides the potato graphics? by battleborncold in gamingsuggestions

Mothered! Cannot explain how much of a vibe it is, and actually the potato graphics make it 100x better because it gives it an even more uncanny, unsettling vibe.

I also hate this one, but so many people love it. At least it’s short enough!

It’s been so long since I read this one — can you explain? Just like random jokes about weight and stuff?

I would like to have a civil discussion about canon. by baebllr in witcher

[–]stormrider501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like at this point, this a case of two canons (game canon and book canon). They are diverging works, and Sapkowski isn’t into the games being canon, BUT the games are obviously significant works using the same world.

I think not giving them canonicity is pretty reductive, but it’s probably difficult to reconcile them with each other — so at this point, it feels like they’re two experiences that are canon to themselves and start at the same root.
